Be sure to check out my video review in the video section! It’s amazing how much laptop you can get for very little money these days. Chromebooks especially can be found at very low prices yet can pack a lot of value when it comes to usability. This is a low-cost option that offers a functional secondary computer for basic tasks or a primary computer for kids and others who don't need more than the basics. It is powered by an AMD A6-9220C dual-core processor, 4 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of eMMC storage - just enough for what it is capable of running. The Chromebook has an 11.6-inch TN display with a maximum brightness of 250 nits. While the display is not touch-enabled and the colors are muted, the build quality is solid, with a weight of 2.46 pounds and an estimated 10-hour battery life. The keyboard is not backlit but offers a comfortable typing experience and the trackpad performs well. The Chromebook has two full service USB Type-C ports (although only one display can be output at a time) along with a pair of USB 3 ports, an SD card reader, and a microphone/headphone jack. The device’s performance is sluggish, especially when compared to similar Chromebooks with Intel processors. But for basic tasks it’s fine and the battery life is pretty good for that type of work. The speakers provide better sound quality than expected, and the device is compatible with Android apps and Linux. The end of support date for this Chromebook is June 2027. Overall, the IdeaPad Chromebook 3 is a good value for those who manage their expectations and require a basic, functional laptop. As value packed as this machine is there is a better option out there – if you can find it. This computer does not have a touchscreen. The battery life is about five hours and not sufficient for all day use. The keyboard is comfortable and the screen is good.

Got this simple computer for our daughter to do homework on. It worked well for that until it completely died 3 weeks later. It would not charge at all. We weren't even able to wipe her profile before sending it back. The company offered us $30 to get it fixed locally. First - who is going to fix a computer for only $30? Second - why would we want to keep a computer that is completely dead after 3 weeks? That just says you're going to continue to have problems with it forever. We sent it back and they charged us a $62 restocking fee. We didn't send it back because we didn't like it. We sent it back because THEIR product was junk. ... show more

Just got it this week,2/13/23. Tried to register but warranty had expired and needed to pay to extend warranty. Last time I will buy from Lenovo. Also, chrome updates now only at four years instead of 5-8 yrs like my Acer model.
