I had been looking for an air conditioner that can really cool down my living room area during these summer heat waves. I have many open areas. Other than my living room; I have a hallway, kitchen and bathroom all around one another. This air conditioner keeps my living room cold. I have to program it to stay within the 70s. I have blackout curtain which also helps from the sun rays from coming into my living room. The remote control doesn’t work. So I have to check it properly, I’ve only had the air conditioner for almost 2 months. It was delivered on time and has no damages upon arrival. It is a bit heavy. ... show more

I ordered this back in April on sale and waited until it got really hot (multiple 100 degree days) before writing a review. I live in Denver which is has a dry heat in the summer. This summer has been more rainy so slightly more humid and cooler. The biggest con is how noisy this thing is which is why I knocked off a point. I'm not someone who prefers fan noise when I sleep, so that may be on me, but this unit is located in a separate room (kitchen) which is connected to my room and I can still hear it pretty loudly. However, the pro is that it is saving me about $15-$20 a month on my electric bill while getting my bedroom (which is nearby) from 84 degrees to 69 degrees by the morning. On super hot days, I do have to set it lower (around 66 degrees) to get it to that 69 temp, so the temperature gauge is off a little bit. We will see how this unit holds up over time. Overall, this unit is pretty good for my 500 sq ft (somewhat) studio. It isn't able to reach my living room, so I would say the 10,000 BTU range for this unit is more like a comfortable 250-300 sq ft which is a bummer but I don't think my apartment is well-insulated. ... show more

.Update .The panel has fell from where it should be .Now won't turn on.And the remote won't turn it on either.Have to hire someone to come take it back out .Will buy locally from now in.Amazon doesn't care .The ac panel where the buttons are, arrived pushed in.Its broken.Very disappointed in product.Paid a large price for something that's second rate and will probably only last a little while.Messaged the person about it and was told to get a repairman.Why should I do that when that's another bunch of money for a service cost plus repair.Wont buy again. ... show more

    • Makes the room cold
This ac makes you need a sweater. Excellent at cooling.. the remote is cute. Our electric bill went up less than 20 dollars. Be warned.. its loud. I'm still happy I bought it.. but if you want it to whisper... well maybe try something else.. if you want to pretend its snowy out.. this one should do.
