It has three different dim lights and it even has another button for whatever shade you decide you can make it brighter or softer. Like I said I was only looking for a single lamp for my bedroom, but I'm going to have to buy a second one because I really like it's style And it looks really good on my nightstand lol. Pretty lamp! The white is very bright and great for grey days. The warm is almost as nice as incandescent light. There's even an "in between" (which looks like fluorescent light, which I'm not very fond of). The only detail I'd change is the very tip of the lamp which has a plastic piece on it that looks a little cheap. It's definitely not a deal breaker! I love this lamp so much I bought a second so I'd have one on each side of my desk. I only wish they spiraled in opposite directions so they'd be mirror-image symmetrical.
