I got this for business travel with my small, old dog. I used it as a car seat as well as a carrier during my travels. No issues with TSA or anywhere else. The wheels made it so easy to use - it does have a strap and handles, which I did use when appropriate. The handle was awesome and came in super handy. It also has a pocket, so I used that for the dog supplies. Great quality for the price, and looks good too. I did purchase a dog bed to fit inside it, which is a must as there isnt much padding on the bottom. My dog loves it so much that I now have it under my desk at home, where he chooses to sleep while I work. I have multiple places for him to sleep and he chooses the carrier. Thank you for this!! It made all the difference for me. TlDR: I love this carrier and highly recommend it. High quality, and helpful features make this a favorite. Really good quality, it was a little snug when I had to put it under the seat on the plane (this is with the wheels baseboard off), but it still fit. Buy it!!!! My dachshund is 17lbs

This carrier is tagged as airline approved. But it barely fit under the seat. The hard frame made it difficult to get completely under the seat. Also the base is great for wheeling around the airport. But is kind of a pain getting on and off, especially at the airport with your pet already in the carrier. The base must come off (not just the wheels) to fit under the seat. Could use additional pockets as well. Pull system and wheels roll smoothly and plenty of room for my 11lb dog. ... show more

This carrier was definitely designed by someone who travels with a dog! SO many features! It was my first time traveling in the cabin with a dog, and his first time, too! Cross-country! I was continually surprised and impressed with this product. For example, how the wheels detach so that the carrier fits underneath the seat. The wheels are attached to a panel that attaches to the bag using Velcro. SO smart! The carrier can be wheeled in either directions, and even sideways! I have a mini aussie-doodle that weighs about 18 pounds and she fits well sitting down. She is not able to fully stand up but for if I unzip the top, she can stick her head out easily and be able to travel comfortably in an airplane. The media could not be loaded. I bought this for my not so miniature dachshund. He fit in it fine. The base with the wheels is detachable. The wheels are also detachable. The base has to come competitive off or it will fit under the seat. And even with the base and wheels off you still have to bend the bag a little to squeeze it under the seat. But once it’s past a certain point it’s fine. I find it didn’t ruin the bag at all. Since I travel southwest and strollers fly free I brought his dogger stroller for inside the airport instead of rolling him around in his carrier. Luckily his carrier fit perfectly in his stroller so I just left him in while I went through the airport. I think this carrier was $40. It was worth it and I put in a comfy blanket for my dog as well. Very pleased with my purchase. My dog is long and fat but this carry was perfect for him. He was comfortable inside and sleeps the entire time while we’re flying. I bought a couple of carriers and found this one fit him best. I returned the others. It’s a great bed in the plane but don’t use the wheels. It tips over all the time and the gentleman at the counter said the bag was not airline approved. It was too big. Should be 11 1/2 by 9

My little toy Aussie hasn't been used to a crate, but when I put her in this for a flight, the fact that I could roll her around made her relax or at least put up with it. then the way it is easily detached from the rollers makes it really easy to travel with.
