    • Overall a pretty satisfactory purchase.
It looks lovely. There are of course some minor problems--at this price it'd be surprising if there weren't--but overall a great table. So the problems first--my daughter put her feet up in the bottom shelf for an hour or so while watching tv and the veneer started to peel at the edge. Also the top surface scratches super easily--but if from the get go you treat it like a delicate piece, it ought to last for you--e.g. don't allow anyone to put feet anywhere near it, use felt pieces on the bottoms of vases, candle holders or other items that are decorative, as well as coasters, to prevent scratches (in our experience thus far the finish does not seem to be easily damaged from moisture--that's a good thing--but it never hurts to be careful). Now the positives--It was packed really well, and all pieces arrived intact and undamaged. When building it, the holes all line up, and it went together super easily in less than 30 minutes for us (Most of it I did myself--it only took two of us to do it when it came time to flip it around, as its pretty heavy). Its heavy and feels substantial when you move it, and on my plain wood floor it moves easily and doesn't scratch the floor--again though, put some protection down there if its at all a concern. The lower shelf is absolutely fine holding a considerable weight from various text books that are currently being stored there, and isn't showing any signs of distress.     • Beware of the table height.
It's a nice table. I would say 5 stars if it were not so high. The description does say 20" which is the height of this table. I was careful with measuring the length and width, but didn't pay a lot of attention to the height. A standard coffee table is 16-18". This table sits about 2" higher than the seats of my couch. We are just going to have to shorten the legs 2", but otherwise it is worthy of 5 stars. We bought the matching end tables and the whole set has really dressed up the room. ... show more

    • Arrived dented, finish very fragile.
It's surprisingly heavy and sturdy. I'm not sure I believe the claim that it's all solid wood, but overall it's alright for a piece of furniture that you can get shipped to your door. It arrived with dents on two corners despite being well padded in the box. The finish looks fairly good, but it's fragile, and is only about as durable as a coat of paint. ... show more

Guess you get what you pay for. I am not happy at all with this table. It scratches VERY easily. I've only had it for a few months and the top already has numerous scratches. And along the edge of the bottom shelf where we have put our feet is very scuffed. I will probably get rid of it and look for something of better quality. ... show more

This is just the right size for our family room. The quality and price were just right. I had looked for smaller coffee tables elsewhere and could find nothing within my price range. I was a little hesitant to order sight unseen, but I am so glad I did.

I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the table. The color is rich and it’s real wood, not cheap fiberboard and a great price. EASY EASY EASY to put together.
