  • Power Packed!
Size: 40 watt
Small size and lite-weight but power packed. I am impressed with this little Bass Amplifier by Fender - the Rumble 40 V3 is surprisingly well put together. Don't let the small size of this Amp fool you... hook it up, turn it on and crank it up. The 10" speaker packs a punch and provides plenty of volume for small rooms no problem. The XLS Out is the real prize though... with the ability to directly connect this Amp to my mixer, I can play any gig with this little Amp. Delivery was delayed for a day but I have no idea why. But it came the following day and the box was in good shape. It came in a standard cardboard box with typical styrofoam corner pieces to protect it from side impact. Unpacking was a simple matter of opening the top flaps of the box, removing the styrofoam corners and lifting it straight out of the box. It came with a rather short electric cord but it is a D type connector and I have many of them laying about so getting a longer one for it will be no problem. The knobs feel good not loose or cheap feeling. The levels were a bit harder to appreciate at least to my ear... its difficult to hear minor changes in knob settings when turning them. The best feature is the classic vibe button and the the separate Master knob. Nothing surprising. Just good, logical, placement and orientation - it made it easy to figure things out and adjust the volume and tone to my liking. Back to the speaker - the 10" speaker pushes a lot of air for such a small size which was a pleasant surprise. Bottom line - for a buck ninety nine the Fender Rumble 40 is a solid deal and makes a great practice / small room Bass amp by itself and with the added ability to connect it directly to your board means you can play it anywhere. Small size yep... I'm digging it. Power packed! If I could make one suggestion it would be to make the box just a touch larger and include the air holes to help it move even more air but that's just the old school coming out! lol! :-) Keep Rocking Good People! Keep Rocking! Update 07/01/2020 - Purchased this in 2018 now all these months later and numerous shows and practices and getting lugged around and thrown in the van and etc etc... This little gem of a Bass amp has truly stood up to the test of "actual use" - not just sitting in a room somewhere but essentially getting tromped on and moved around rather regularly. Of course Corona put a damper on things for about the last 4 months or so but prior to the end of the world, we played a huge gig for St. Patricks and the Rumble 40 stood up nicely. The thing that stangs out the most is the XLS output jack in the back that allowed our sound guy to plug it into the giant sub cub speaker stand and basically fill the room with atomic level boom boom. It was awesome! Cheers! Keep rocking everyone! Be safe out there! ... show more

  • Great amp for the price
Size: 25 watt
Let me start by saying I just needed a small, light weight practice amp and this one fit the bill for the price. I have been playing bass for about 58 years and have a large rig 210-115 GK set up but didn't want to break that out every time I wanted to play on the porch, office or a buddy's house. The little Fender Rumble 25 is super light and the right size to move around. After unpacking the amp I noticed the workmanship was first rate so I plugged it in and hooked up a bass. Sounded OK but not what I expected. Pulled the removable grill off and noticed a very cheap speaker and a 3" port in the front that wasn't tuned, but for 99$ what the heck. Played some more and It just sounded cheap which it is. I wasn't expecting GK or SVT sound. I immediately went to ebay and bought a Celestion NEO 8" driver with a 2" voice coil for 55$ and it arrived today. I took the grill off and removed the Fender speaker and noticed how cheap is was and noticed too that the cabinet was hollow, no damping material so the insides of and old fiber filed pillow was sacrificed and the cabinet stuffed, also I cut a piece of round hard foam to fill the port. Put it all back together and now we have an amp. Real nice lows and great tone all through the different ranges. That did the trick. I know what you're thinking, this guy bought a 99$ amp and spent 55$ more to make it work when he could have just bought the 40 with the 10" speaker, but I would have had the same, but larger, cheap speaker for 199$. This now sounds great with a modest upgrade and the Celestion NEO is a MUCH better speaker that makes a small amp sound really good. 160$ total, light weight, nice controls, and that great Fender styling. Sorry I'm a purist and keep can't leave well enough alone and this was a small price to pay for a now great sounding amp, and by the way the pillow is pleased it went to good use. I gave it five stars for 99$ but now it's 6 stars. ... show more

  • One heck of a bass amp
Size: 500 watt
This thing is POWERFUL… tone is adjustable and can be altered to your liking. Volume, voicing and effects are easily manageable and give good options. This thing is a howitzer, its light, packs a mean punch, and can shoot whatever vibes you put through it.
