While Leica Q already has a macro mode, it's a wide angle lens so I always feel like I'm not getting enough details. Adding this little piece definitely helps. Side note, I feel like the title is a bit misleading. It states 10x magnification but since Leica Q is wide to start with, you definitely do not get a 10x magnification like you would with a magnifying glass or a loupe. ... show more

It works as advertised. Put the Q2 in macro mode, add the close up filter, now you can put the camera one inch away from the subject and take a picture. It’s very interesting to use a 28mm lens wide open at f2.8 taking macro photos. The dramatic effect from the lens is pretty pronounced and the perfectly round bokeh is beautiful.
