  • Good game for movie fans
Excellent game! Works very well on our XBox One. My son has spent many hours playing this game and like it very much. As with any game based on a movie, part of the charm is to see how different characters have been visualized in a Lego world. I liked Rey and Kylo Ren especially. Game play is good with fair number of levels. My son leveled off on Jurassic Park game after about a month and a half. I think same will happen with this game as well. He does come back to these games in spurts when he has friends over. To summarize, if you have kids who are fans of the movie (or TV series), this is a good game to get for them. Disclaimer: This is based on the feedback from my son. I myself have not played this game at all, though I have watched him play. ... show more

  • Best LEGO game in a long time
Best LEGO game in a long time. I started playing with the first LEGO Star Wars game, and have played most of them since. The brand had started to falter for me recently, and I haven't been playing all of them. As a Star Wars fan, I couldn't pass this up, and I'm so glad I got back in. The gameplay is as good as it has ever been, with some cool new features. The different build options are nice, although I would have preferred if it allowed different paths to overcoming things, rather than just going through a list. The use of dialogue straight from the movie is pretty cool, and helps with getting the feel of the movie in game. ... show more

  • Stress-Free Fun for Kids & Adults
LEGO Star Wars is the third Lego game that my husband and I have played together. We both still maintain that LEGO Hobbit has been our favorite on the Xbox One, but this one was still enjoyable. We completed this game to 100% in 36 hours, but were unable to complete all of the Xbox achievements because for the first time, some were reliant on DLC. The quests are overly simple, most of them actually teleport you exactly where you need to go. This makes it great for kids who don't fully understand the nuances in quest hints, but made it a little too easy for us. Additionally, every world, quest, etc, requires some sort of space travel, aka a load screen. I felt like we spent significantly more time loading this game than other LEGO games that we have played. As with all of the LEGO games that we've played, there are some odd glitches that are mostly benign but are frustrating, nonetheless. The story was still fun though, it includes characters, voice clips, and cut-scenes from the The Force Awakens. Space flight is pretty cool, and playing as the Jedi is also pretty fun. There are several planets, all sand box style so there are plenty of side quests and places to explore. Overall, this is a good game for the money. It's family-friendly, humorous, multiplayer, and appeals to players of all ages. I would give this game a 3.5/5, but rounded up to a 4 because I like the brand and half stars aren't a thing. If you are looking for a fun, casual game to play with a spouse, child, or friend, I strongly recommend the LEGO line of games. ... show more

  • Not for all...
Huge Star Wars fan, and I used to love the lego games. But this one felt clunky and odd to control. If I was a kid I'd probably enjoy this one more, but this one didn't really do it for me. Still love the franchise and I hope we get some true AAA SW games soon.

  • Plays Out Just Like The Movie
When I first played this game I hadn't seen the movie, which really confused me when it came to the characters. I still had a lot of fun playing this, as I do with all the Lego video games. I eventually saw the movie and it made me realize I had to play this again. This game really does the movie justice. This is one of my favorite Lego video games out there. ... show more

  • Beware you might have to buy the game more than once
Bought this for my granddaughters birthday as she love star wars and lego so I thought this would be a no brainer. She got an Xbox one s for Christmas and only had the one game that came with it which was a digital download. We put this disc in and installed the game she only played it twice, the disc was never removed from the console and now every time she tries to play it says she has to go to the Microsoft store and purchase the game. Looked at the disc and the surface is pristine no marks or blemishes on it. Very disappointed with this purchase. ... show more
