The LEER ROLLITUP truck bed cover fits great, looks great and is inexpensive compared to some other brands. A good purchase. However, the installation instructions provided are not good. Luckily, installation is simple and relatively easy to figure out. I recommend this cover.

I was having a hard time finding a cover that would fit my 23 Tocoma Trail. Found the Leer Rollitup and for only $199 I was not expecting much but I was very surprised at the quality. The only con is that the instructions are not very clear but it got me going in the right direction. It says that installation take 15 minutes but that only true if you have installed this cover before. Took me and my son about 45 minutes to install it. My advice is to mount the hardware on the rails (don't install on the truck) and get the cover in the rails before attaching to the truck. Install the hardware just as it is shipped. One clamp will have 3 washers, one with 1 washer, and 1 with no washer. The clamps are labeled front, middle, and rear. Hope this helps others on the install.

I am satisfied overall, good quality. The retractable version fits the 2024 with the exception of the front of the bed, which is slightly different from the 3rd gen Tacomas, there is a bend that adds a bigger gap. I will figure out a way to make the front rubber skirt a little longer and it should be as water proof as the fitment to the earlier models. From the pictures i thought (my mistake) this had a metal slat exterior that rolled out. It has a vinyl (?) covering but the supporting metal covers the whole surface of the underside. Hopefully nobody cuts through the vinyl cover to find that out. Mine was missing the allen wrench for the set screws (1/8 inch). I'd recommend running the screws through the cast "rail clamp bracket" before assembly as the threads weren't great. There was also a slight burr (from the threads) that I had to file on that bracket to get it on the rail. Also had a hard time with the phillips screws that hold the cap over the roll up box. Take your time lining up the rails and pull the retractable cover all the way out then back in gently before really tightening everything down. Mine rolls in and out very smooth.

The installation was a little more difficult than advertised, but with some ingenuity, I was able to complete the install in about an hour and a half. Difficulties were only due to trying to hold the square shaped nut which sat inside the rails. I was able to overcome this by using the shipping straps folded up and placed behind the nut in the rail. Would've been easier to use the same style bolt, but longer. Also, after the third day of being installed, second time rolling it up, one of the support rods somehow fell off from the cover. It appears that the plastic broke off from where it was stitched into the cover. Normally, this would result in a one-star rating, but I contacted the company and they expedited a new unit to me. I installed the new cover and I have been enjoying it ever since. Big thank you to the customer support department at Leer 👍. Product was defective and they righted their wrong quickly. Thats the was business is done.

To the people who think this is hard to install either don’t have a clue as to what they are doing or lack the brain power to install something. This is one of the easier installs I’ve ever done. I did it alone in 30 minutes. It does help I grew up around mechanics. Do not tighten anything down until it’s all in place and the fitment is good. When you install the front braces and cover it’s self make sure you drape the cover over the cab of your truck and make all of the hardware and pieces easy to access. Instructions are perfectly clear unlike some others have mentioned. I live in Alaska it seems like it’ll hold up just fine. 5/5 would recommend.

I like that this mounts to the rail system and if you need access to the whole bed, you have it. On my '23 Tacoma, the back keeps flipping up and looks kind of like a spoiler. I've tried adjusting it, but after a few bumps, it pops back up. The velcro sides keeps it secure, it kind of flutters a little in the wind at high speeds but doesn't go any where. Not sure how to keep it from flipping up.

Quality product - good fit and finish. Decently priced compared to similar products. A recognized brand name. worked perfect for my 2023 Toyota Tacoma SR5. Directions were a little confusing but able to sort it out.
