I bought this tonneau cover to use the truck bed more effectively for items that need to be covered. Looks great in my opinion and performs exactly as described. However, the 3 hour, frustrating, cuss worthy, installation process had me nearly boxing it up for return. The instructions and diagrams are sub par to say the least. The online video shows a similar but different product being installed utilizing different clamps and securing hardware. The difficulty in installation was primarily related to getting the clamps and the rails lined up correctly so the roll out feature and locking mechanism would work. I don’t know how many times I had to loosen and tighten the clamps to get the thing in correctly and evenly. Also, the bulkhead weather strip was simply inferior. The tiny strip of 3M adhesive wouldn’t adhere to my spray in bed liner. It’s intended for a smooth painted surface which is not mentioned anywhere in the instructions or item description. The seal at the front of the bed is not airtight and may not be entirely watertight but it snugs down well enough that I knew I could for go the crap weather strip with not much worry. Finally, I recommend having someone assist with installation. While one person can certainly do it, an extra set of hands would make the process far easier. Overall, I’m pleased with the final product. The Leer brand has been around my entire life. Both my grandfather and my dad purchased Leer products. So, when I was looking for a quality albeit inexpensive cover, I knew Leer would be the place to shop.

The fasteners for this cover make the install easier than my other cover. The whole concept for this design is well thought out and make the process easy.

So far so good. Price wise, quality for the price, instalation was ease even with a rod in my foot i got it installed in 45 minutes. Seems like it'll hold up in weather and tight seal also. Will update in a couple months Almost 5 years later it's still holding up strong. A little faded from the sun but still in great shape.

2018 Chevy crew cab Good fitment, however, the installation instructions were lacking. not specific as to placement and identification of parts, an annoyance at worst. The weatherstrip piece which is to be installed first needs to be placed correctly, and the instructions did not give much help. Also, the adhesive to install it with (pre-installed double sided tape) was dried out and useless. I had to apply my own double sided tape to replace it. The tension adjustment works well, but requires partial disassembly to adjust. A better configuration would be an adjustment screw such as was used on my previous cover that worked extremely better.

The cover itself seems very nice. The front gasket doesn’t work at all. I thought it was going to be dry after rain it wasn’t.
