Wanted to wait a year to see how it performed. It is working real well for me. The LeddictiveI 100W LED Floodlight is mounted outside with little protection from the weather. We sometimes get over 100°F in the summer and below zero and snow in the winter. Through all seasons this LED flood has performed well. It is very bright, lighting up the shed 80 feet away. I use it intermittently so when I turn it on when the temperature is -8°F there must be a bit of thermal shock... that has not affected its performance. No leaks from rain and snow. I have an old room heater that doubles as a stand lamp (2x 500w halogen) and after changing out a lot of other lights to LED it was finally time for this one. Even if these do heat up a bit it won't be as bad as those have been. These are basically the same size and a little lighter. Couple of things: there are no switches on these--just plug in and light up. I could cut the cord and add one but, not today. Second, the units are sealed and can't be opened without breaking something so putting a switch internally is also not possible. These do throw a lot of nicely-white light so I'm good there. The brackets seem a little thin and they fasten to the shells with hex-head screws making tension adjustment more challenging--hand-knobs would be a better option for me. I fitted nut-serts into the brackets to attach to my stand--that worked great. For me the cords are a little longer than ideal: a small outlet strip on the stand needs only about 2-3 feet so a bunch is coiled up. I would need extension cord for most things anyway, so shorter would be fine. I hope I won't regret the good price (2/$40) if that means they don't last or fail partially down the line. i want to put these all over my house, adding to side and front yard. i joke that the backyard looks like daytime at night. this is very bright! comes with a plug which you can obviously cut off. lights up the backyard like a baseball field! will attract bugs due to the light but that is nothing against product, just an fyi. i plan to but more to light up the entire house; front side and rear. in case i need to state it, i am using for exterior use and mounting under eaves of roof. not sure how rainproof it would be in florida. will mount one on a pole and attach a cover of sorts. ... show more

Wow! These are bright, and that's exactly what I wanted. I do wish that it would have an on-off switch on each fixture, but it does not. The cords are sufficiently long enough, and this was an excellent choice to upgrade my older halogen work lamps on tripods.

The remote has quite a long range as well, so I can easily tun the light off after I make it into the house. I plan on getting another one for the other side of my driveway. For flood lamps for a quilt show ordered 2 sets of 2, 50 watt. All 4 items worked great. These are LED and come with a short electric cord, NO shut off switch. I plan to plug them into power bar surge protectors.
