I purchased the brass picture light. It's the most beautiful perfect brass. Not too bright in yellow, and not too dull. The light color is more of a bright white -cooloer tone --(NOT daylight) and not a soft white (warmer tone). I would have prefer it to be more of a soft white, but it's not a deal breaker since we won't be turning it on often. The way it look is more important for me. I purchased it hardwire because I don't want to see the plug-- BUT I still want it to be "plugged" in since we don't want to pay $$$ for an electrician to create a new switch. So we purchased a "combo switch outlet" from Lowes for $10 to achieve this. Add an electrical code to the picture light, run it inside the wall down directly to the combo switch outlet. My husband wired it into the combo switch - so I can turn the light on and off from that outlet. It works perfectly. Give that a try if you're like me and 1. don't want to see any plug, 2. still need it to be a on and off switch 3. save some money without hiring an electrician Good luck! ... show more

This is a definite hit with the wife. Puts out great light. I ran the wire down inside the wall to a socket below it and use a WiFi plug that works with Alexa. Easy pezzie.

The brass on this light is a decent color, not too gold coated aluminum in flavor, it looks like a decent restoration hardware dupe, for obviously a fraction of the cost. The light is a good color, lights our whole hallway, but doesn’t blind you as you walk up the stairs from below. It is also a decent brass color to go with original antique brass light fixtures in the same house. ... show more

Really quite bright. Mounted above picture, based on where connection block was and the only problem is, from across the room I can see the bulb when it is on. Unfortunately there is no way to adjust the angle and the light is not dimmable. I may try bending it but it is quite rigid so I am concerned this may damage the fixture. ... show more

Good light. I retrofitted it on the wall without any wiring for lights. After some drilling and wire fishing, was able to get it installed. Looks great and of a good size. As others said, be aware that the spectrum of light is closer to day light. It is not warm light led or bright light led. So, depending on color of your walls you may get some blueish tint from the light. In my case, the entire room is pinted in light yellow, so it is not changing it much. ... show more

Used these in our new build and love the accent lighting they provide. Used 2 for built in bookshelves surrounding our fireplace, and 1 for at the end of a hallway. Had our electricians install so I can’t speak to that - seemed easy enough for them. The finish is a nice cool bronze.

The light is great as far as brightness; it is easy to install. My electrician changed the plug to white; the black was hideous. The only major complaint was that the item was totally and completely out of the box when it arrived so the bar is a bit unbalanced as it got bent and cannot be adjusted, but I needed it immediately so chose to use it anyway as I had no time to reorder.
