I just got this last night and absolutely love it. It works great, is simple to use, and I couldn't be happier. My use case: I am not using this for a name tag - I am using this for a notification on my office door. As a professor during COVID-19 I am recording lots of content for my students, and delivering live lectures over the internet. People innocuously knocking on my door disrupts these activities and I wanted cool but clear way to notify them. Now I can have this sign say "Recording Lectures", "Live Lecture", "Available", or "Be right back" in scrolling (or static) text that immediately draws the attention of anyone standing outside my office. And for use: with the app I can change messages in under 30 seconds, even if I have walked away from my office and have to re-connect, and in less than 10 seconds most of the time. I knew this would be cool, but I was pleasantly surprised at how simple it was. Pros: VERY easy to use Very bright Rechargeable battery Cons: Static multi-color: There are 4 zones of this, each of which have a different color. This gives the effect of color changing as it scrolls, but they cannot be changed. For the price I am totally happy, and it is my fault for not reading the description, but I probably would have bought a single color one to look a bit more professional if I had realized this before. Not a huge deal by any means, and quite literally the only thing I would change about the device. In short: As long as you are cool with the multi-color you cannot go wrong with this device - it far exceeded my expectations in simplicity and functionality for an incredibly reasonable price. ... show more

I was extremely disappointed with the "LED Name Badge, OUHL Upgraded LED Name Tags." I had to go through several units just to find one that worked. The first few badges either wouldn't charge or failed to display the programmed text correctly. Even the one that finally worked had issues with connectivity and required constant reprogramming. The green display was dim and hard to read in brighter settings, making it useless for exhibitions or events. Overall, this product is unreliable and not worth the hassle. You program these with a phone app, which is great. But you can’t use the preloaded designs in the app on this model. Only letters. I thought I was buying white lights, but they are colored and the colors don’t move around. But it functioned fine and lasted several hours.

I bought 'Red' and I just love this product, however, I wish the design app wasn't so limited. It's small and perfect as a name tag. You can also design your own name and images on their app which is really fun to do; you can even see and use other people's designs that have been uploaded to the app. The light is pretty bright and the battery seems to last for a few hours. The only issue is that when you design your own animation, you only get a few panels to create your animation.
