Beware! Assembly instructions may as well have been written in Mandarin Chinese, and the Assembly Video is no better! The only thing they got correct, is that assembling the hoop is a MINIMUM 2 person, or more task, unless Assembler #2 is from the Army Corps of Engineers. What could have been a 2 Hour project, turned into a 10 Hour task, with having to disassemble the nearly completed project not once but TWICE due to the lack of photos and the vagueness of the so-called ‘Instructions’! And, to add to the hilarity, more than twice the necessary hardware included. Have your own tools at hand, because the included wrenches aren’t worth a damn. I haven’t yet attached the LED Lights yet. That will be for another day. At the moment, I am still taking ALLEVE after spending all of yesterday twisted like a contortionist doing the basic assembly. Overall, it is a solid unit, and should provide years of fun, but in retrospect, I probably should have stuffed everything back in the shipping box and sent it back to Amazon! ... show more

Updated review: The quality of the materials is fine. However, putting up this hoop was frustrating. The instructions did not result in a level backboard/hoop after following the manual and the original video step-by-step. More individually labeled parts would make the assembly process significantly easier. When assembled by the directions in the manual, the pole bent forward causing the hoop to tilt down regardless of hoop height. In order to get the hoop to be level & perpendicular to the ground, we had to assemble the base backwards so that the angle was correct for the hoop to hang. There was another video underneath the product specs where the hoop was assembled with a reversed base as well. We added zip ties to fasten the rebound board to the base. Overall, the hoop is functional with improvisation. Thankfully, the sellers were honorable and efficient with trying to resolve the issue. ... show more

Built sturdy, takes a couple of people to put it together. Height adjustment works well. Kids love using it and the base is pretty heavy when filled with liquid, I used window washer fluid so it won’t freeze in the winter and so far that’s been great.

The backboard in the pictures looks more quality and bigger than what you get. Kind of cheap materials really. Our back board came with a dent on the edge of the backboard, but you get what you pay for. Works good enough for now. I do like the handle to adjust the height, my 10 year old son can do it just fine. If your not serious about basketball and just want something to make a basket into then this will work. My biggest complaint about this is the backboard is really flimsy. ... show more
