Full disclosure: I am on a pretty tight budget, and I needed something very good that wouldn't break the bank. I needed light, not decoration. I think this lamp was a perfect fit for my needs. When I bought this lamp, I had my reservations because it was so affordable. After all, we are taught "you get what you pay for". I've been using it every day for almost a month now, and it has worked great for my use case! It's very simple to set up, it can be adjusted to illuminate exactly what you need a light on, and it is very bright. I also appreciate that it has warm light and cool light. In my particular case, I'm often on the road, so it's an added bonus that this lamp packs down to a small size. This may not be a priority for most, but I definitely appreciate this! I would recommend this light for anyone who wants a good desk lamp that doesn't take up too much space on your desk at an affordable price. I bought as a temporary replacement for my 40+ year old steel spring articulated incandescent light, while I replaced the switch and socket, but this thing is pretty fantastic. The ability to change the tone and brightness with capacitive touch buttons is far and away more convenient than traditional switches. While it is very bright on the high setting, it does get quite warm, which worries me as far as the life of the LEDs, so I don't run it at max for too long, but at this price I probably shouldn't give it a second thought. My only (albeit minor) gripe is that the articulation is a little wiggly when adjusting, but once set in place, it holds its position well. ... show more

This has everything that I needed for a desk lamp. It changes the light from white to warm. It has adjustable levels of brightness. It fits the edge of my desk without issues. It spins and adjusts the flat arm into any position that I need. The on off switch is always lit, so I can see it in the dark. This is an excellent value. It's inexpensive, and it's just the thing if you spend a lot of time staring into a monitor, where glare is an issue. Wobbles a tad when you adjust it, but not a big deal. One thing kinda bothers me: they offer you a $10 Amazon gift certificate for a 5-star review. I see where people complain about lamps this tall swaying and moving too much when typing or what-have-you. Well, it's a tall skinny lamp and it is pretty rigid, so yes - it's going to transfer whatever motion you create in the desk. A solid desk and you will not have transfered motion. A skinny put-together-yourself desk will transfer alot. The light itself isn't to blame for that. This light does what it advertised, works very well, and I'm very happy with it. Works great on my desk. Small enough to be out of my work area but bright enough to light up my work area. I really like the idea that I can dim the light or make it brighter. I use two different computers, one for working with photos and one for all other work. This light is very maneuverable when working on both computers. I couldn't be more pleased with this desk lamp. From unboxing to fully assembled took at most two minutes maximum. There are so few steps, you probably won't need to use the included instructions. This is not just your ordinary light. It has controls for brightness (intensity) and color/tone. By color/tone, I mean that users can toggle from a soft white to a kind of mellow amber (and all the blended points in between).
