I purchased TWO sets of these lights and the motion sensor on all SIX of them does NOT WORK. They are bright enough, but if the power goes out you’re going to have to feel around in the DARK in order to try and TURN THEM ON so you can SEE. Otherwise, you’re not going to be able to see. I WANTED these for their motion detector to be able to see when the power went out and so my grandkids wouldn’t be afraid to go to recheck bathroom when the lights were out and the lights would go on when it was dark and the motion sensor would make the lights go on for them— but these aren’t going to work— I’ll have to spend MORE MONEY to try to find a DIFFERENT product to work. I was so excited to purchase these lights for a couple of closets that don't have overhead lighting, and was even more excited when I put them in the closets and had much better visibility. These lights would be amazing IF they actually stayed put on the walls. They repeatedly fell down, and some of them even took some paint with them. I tried repeat hanging them with the same results. I bought 2 and loved them. now I bought 3 more. I have them in my closets and put one in my Shed 8x12 . They come on when I open the doors . I use rechargeable batteries in 2 this will keep future cost down , I will buy more rechargeable batteries for the others. Easy to install just 2 screws or use the sticky tape provided. I prefer the screws. They are magnetized to the base for easy removal to change the batteries . The motion sensor can swivel to point it towards the door . ... show more

I purchased a gun safe which came with a motion activated LED strip similar to these, but wasn't enough to illuminate both sides of the safe & top shelf. I bought these thinking I'd just add a couple more and it worked out great. The one included with the safe attached with velcro to the felt lining of the safe-- so I had to apply velcro to the back of the magnet holder to mount these. It worked okay, but not as secure as I would like (due to the magnetic holder being so small compared to the light strip), but so far is doing the job. Motion sensing is accurate, any movement of the door of the safe and/or transition from dark to light will cause it to turn on-- exactly what I wanted. Turns off if no motion is detected within about 30 seconds or so. If you're still fumbling around in the safe, any movement will kick it back on. These lights were to replace under kitchen cabinet lights that plug in. I wanted battery operated so I can have more outlets. They were NOT has bright as my current lights. Disappointed. I ended up keeping to use in the pantry where I had no lights at all. They were very easy to install. Hopefully they will stay in place and the sticky adhesive really works. PROS: -Relatively cheap -Easy to install -Bright -Great motion sensor, does not depend on ambient light level to turn on (will turn on even if the room is bright) CONS: -one in particular kept falling off the mount, probably whenever I reached in to grab clothes off the rack-make sure you leave enough room so your hand doesn't bump it -turns off quickly when motion not detected, this could also be a PRO as it saves your batteries, but many times I have stood in front the closet trying to decide what to wear and the light came off -after about 10 months of use, the sensor no longer worked and the light stayed on constantly, even though it was still switched to Auto. Of course this drained the batteries, but when I changed them, it still would not turn on again. One failed first, then the other, then the third, so average about 10 months lifespan for each light. Overall, not bad for the price. ... show more

Needed something to light up my dark pantry. The motion detection option on these made them the perfect choice! They are bright and I love that they can also detach from the base... great for if the power goes out with the summer storms we get. Haha You can aim the motion sensor to customize it for the space you are using. However, the sensor doesn't seem to be as sensitive on one of the lights I got. Not a big deal... it still works... just takes a few seconds longer to detect and turn on. You can screw it in or use the adhesive it comes with to attach to the wall/cabinet. I used the adhesive and so far, so good. (I've had them almost 2 months). ... show more

I have been through countless closet lights. Since it usually takes many for sufficient light,I bought the large pack thinking I would need all three for my super dark closet. I ONLY NEEDED ONE!!!!!!! Yay!!! Super easy to install, add batteries peel off backing and stick. I was not aware you can remove it from the magnetic base…..added bonus.
