The installation was not too bad. However, during installation, while tightening the screws to set the cover in place the glass cracked. I only tightened it by just a bit and the glass gave with little resistance. The fixture looked great, but the broken cover was a big disappointment. Update: I contacted Autelo about the broken cover and they were more than happy to send a replacement. They replied very quickly, verified my info, and sent the replacement that same day. Shipping for the replacement came in 2 days. The light came in perfect condition and now I can enjoy the light again. I definitely recommend shopping with Autelo. The way the base secures to the ceiling is not a flush mount. It has three little bumps that will cause a gap from ceiling to fixture. Then the way the glass secures to the base is by twisting it one and lightly fasting it with screws. These screws are visible on the outside and kind of ruin the vibe of the light. The worst part about hanging this light is that it uses a fixed nut to screw the base to the mounting the plate but since it has a cap you can’t tighten it down enough. You will need washers or a #8-32 nut to snuggly secure it. I ordered the version that uses light bulbs so my review may be different than those reviewing the LED version. I think this light fixture would be best for higher ceilings where you won’t be so easily able to see the gap and screws on the base. Otherwise the fixture itself looks really nice and I like how the slits let more light spread across the ceiling. ... show more

I purchased this light fixture solely based on the way it looked, as it fit my aesthetic. If you rely on instructions and the products provided for installation of an item, this might not be the light for you. To begin, the diagram in the instructions did not depict the small green ground wire screw. If you don't know you needed to connect the copper ground wire to that screw, you would completely miss that step. And, as the green ground screw was not depicted in the drawing, I installed my mounting plate upside down initially, as the instructional diagram did not show whether the green ground screw should be facing upwards or down. The two screws hanging down from the mounting plate really need a nut to hold them in place, but none were provided. Otherwise when you try and attach the base to the mounting plate, the screw moves into the ceiling and you cannot attach the fix nut. I reused nuts from my old fixture to resolve that issue. In addition, the fix nuts have very little tread to attach them to the hanging screws. That means that you are precluded from tightening the base flush, or tight to the ceiling. There is a gap between the ceiling and the base, which is not a look I prefer. In addition, it means if someone were to bump the fixture, it will move, even though the movement is slight. Again, not what I am looking for in a flush mount light fixture. And finally, neither the instructions nor the base indicate what voltage of light bulbs to use, which is ridiculous. ... show more

We are definitely satisfied with this specific light. It's heavier than expected, but I'm assuming because of the frosted glass. One big plus is that it is an LED light. You don't have to worry about light bulbs anymore. Also, it is color adjustable and you are not stuck with 1 temperature of color. There are 3 temperatures, which is from cool to warm and one in the middle. Overall it's a very good light fixture and it's extremely bright as well. For the DIYer you do have to know how to do your wiring but it's very easy. Ground goes to ground. Black goes to black. White goes to white. Besides that, just make sure you use the nuts that are provided to cover the wiring. It should be very simple for someone who knows how to do that kind of thing. And that does not mean you need an electrician because it's simple. ... show more

I was not aware this was supposed to come with a remote. This light is also extremely dim, but maybe that has to do with the missing remote? As far as installation, some of the screws were damaged and we had to use what screws were in the previous fixture. All in all not worth the $50, and I wish I could return it but it’s already installed and I don’t think we want to fight with it again to get it down. ... show more
