These curtains are made of a high quality material! When I opened up the package, I ironed the curtains which only took a few minutes. After ironing the curtains they look fantastic! These curtains block out the outside light. This is the third purchase I made from this company and I will be adding more in the near future! As you can see from the second picture, the outside light is completely blacked out with the exception of the light coming through the top center of the curtains where I purposely left a small opening. I did a lot of research to find these curtains. They truly do a great job of making my room dark. I was tired of waking up really early in a bright room. Now I get a decent amount of sleep. They are nice & thick, and will help insulate my room.

The cappuccino color was Very beige - and the back wasn't black, it was also beige but the red and orange colors were spot on. These are EXTREMELY well made, heavy duty, beautiful and block out light and sound really well. Helped with the passing train noise outside my apartment. They're super soft, too. Just make sure you measure giving yourself extra width because these curtains have an accordion fold that adds the need for several more inches of fabric. Nice curtains for keeping the cold out. They hang nicely and color is as advertised. Wish they were just a little bit heavier but they do the job. We use them for heat retention but also darken the room well.

We cute down the tree in front of our bedroom windows that kept a lot of light and heat out of our room which as a result made it brighter and hotter making it harder to sleep. These helped with both! Are room stays so dark if we keep them shut (literally pitch black and we have the white blackout curtains keep in mind) and has helped regulate the temperature in our room! It does what it's supposed to do but you need to address air leaks first. So for me I live in NYC, which can be noisy, especially when you have an ac in the window and its wintertime and the ac needs to stay there. So I put on an ac insulated cover and covered any air leaks with the tape for insulation. Even with that, some air and lots of noise would get thru. I bought these curtains to see if it would help reduce noise and drafts. It definitely helps muffle regular street noise (not sirens or car horns) and there are no drafts. It does what it's supposed to do. But if you have air leaks, it will not fix the problem on its own. It's not meant to. You still have to plug up those leaks and then the curtains will do its job. The curtains are heavy and a good thickness and do block out the light as well. ... show more
