This little lantern is awesome. I bought it for two purposes. First, to light my closet (the overhead light needs to be rewired and I don't have it in me to tackle that right now) and second, as a backup light when power goes out during storms. It works great for the closet: on the brightest setting, it's very bright (so much brighter than I expected from something this size!) and I love that it has a folding carabiner so I can hang it on a hook yet fold away when not in use. On the lowest setting, the brightness is still decent and the battery is impressive. I didn't intend to use this as a night light, but I tested it one night and found that I'm comforted by the glow of warm light in the next room. I've used it for 6 nights on low and it's still showing a nearly full charge. There are three hue settings, from warm to cool light. I think that's a fantastic feature. The coolest setting is great for task work and the warmer setting is perfect for a calming ambiance or outside where bugs are around. The compact size and relatively light weight of this lantern is nice. I purchased it in white and it has a clean/minimal appearance. It's not something I'd take backpacking, but is perfect for car camping, indoor use, and maybe even hiking if you don't mind a small amount of extra weight. My only complaint at this point is the power button. I would love to see the power button be slightly raised or at the very least, reflective. Anything to quickly indicate where it is when in the dark since the buttons are flush with the casing. I've found this on a few other lanterns as well, and it drives me crazy. If I'm in my tent, I want to be able to turn on a light instantly, not fumble around trying to figure out where the power button is. Also a challenge for someone like my dad, who loves having extra light to accomplish tasks but has low vision and often struggles with turning things off and on. I may see if a little round felt pad or silicone bumper will stick to it (though the button feels like silicone so I'm not sure that will work). If not, I suspect something would stick directly above the button, on the plastic casing. Have only charged it once so far (to top off right after receiving it), but plugs in easily. A quick push of the power button will show you how much charge remains. The cord is only about a foot long, so I just plugged into my laptop. From a purely aesthetic standpoint, if more colors are offered in the future I think it would fun to have one with a natural woodgrain appearance or an earthy sage green color. Overall - quite happy with the purchase (minus the flush button issue) and look forward to continued use.

I mostly bought this for camping as I don’t have a downward facing light for hanging in a tent. For that purpose it works great. It’s compact and easy to figure out. I didn’t realize it was RGB as well, so you can change it to any color. I liked the fact that you can change the different shades of white. It definitely has a premium feel to it and no doubt it will last a few days while camping. I wanted a rechargeable light with a large battery that was downward facing because my other lights throw light sideways and leave annoying shadows underneath. I’m glad I didn’t cheap out and go with cheaper options. It seems like it will last a good while. We’ve been using it in a cheap deer blind we got for our two year old as a temporary fort/play area. He loves it.

This is a great light. It's very bright and lasts about 4 hours on full brightness. I needed lights for an outdoor show at my church. Instead of running extension cords to the outer areas. I used these instead. These worked great and lasted through the whole show. The show was 5:00 to 8:00PM in the dark. I turn them on about 4:45 and they are still on at 8:30. Also, for camping and home use they are great. I use them for tent camping they dim down very low allowing me to wake up in the middle of the night and have light without disturbing others in the tent. What's really amazing is that they don't strobe. Most lights of this type blink faster than the eye can see causing eye fatigue. These do not do that. I have purchased a few and will buy more as I need them.

Nice size, classy design. great light output. integrated clip allows this to hang from a tree branch or tent roof. the warm color option is a nice feature that allows this light to be output-compatible with my similarly selectable Defiant brand lanterns. Great advertised battery capacity (subject to verification). The so-called “powerful” magnet is barely adequate. you put it on a refrigerator and it can barely keep itself from sliding down under its own weight. They need to use the magnet the Maxxeon Cyclops light has. which is a legitimately powerful magnet. Needs a red light mode (the steady variety not the annoying and essentially useless-in-normal-situations flashing or strobing kind. To be clear it doesn’t have those either). Would have been 5 stars otherwise. I paid for this product with my own money and am receiving nothing in return for this review.
