It’s beautiful and HIGHLY functional. I can point the spot of like to almost anywhere in the room. The ONLY thing I don’t like is how BRIGHT the backlight (you can turn backlight and spot on or off separately) - it’s actually too bright for me as I have it right near my head when sitting up in bed, is bright enough to actually light up the room especially if you have two farther away from the bed, it might be a plus. I plan to just throw some gels on the light strip in the back to bring it down to a more subtle nightlight level. Well made, gorgeous design. Unit is very bright for such a small light. I like how it has two buttons to pick what light you want. One switch makes a nice ambient light on the wall, practically lights up the whole room. While the other switch makes a nice colored narrow beam for reader The quality of the product was way better then I expected considering the low price. This was what I expected as far as the look and function of the light, really like the contemporary look and functionality. We changed it to be hard wired, which was very do-able. We ordered 2 of these, but one came defective with the backlight not working. I tried to get a replacement, but they were out of stock on Amazon with no indication of if they would be back. The seller did respond to an inquiry, and offered a replacement eventually, but had no idea of timing or how long down the road it might be. Since these were for on each side of our bed, we decided to try fix it ourselves, which my husband was able to do. So all in all, decent for the price but a little more hassle than expected.
