I had recently purchased a one of these from a different manufacturer and sent it back, feeling discouraged. I decided I would try one more time and picked this particular item because it seemed like it had good reviews and the seller gave really good information about the product. First, the packaging? So neat and clean! Everything fits perfectly into molded trays, and there is a sticker inside the lid to remind you that there are 4 extra pieces "knots" under the tray. One of the instructions says to remove some of the sand in the weight, which was super easy. I saved it just in case I wanted a heavier weight later, before I add water. (A lOT of thought has gone into this!) The locks were tough, but the instructions did mention that and gave some tips. One opened easily, the other was stubborn. The directions said to use a solid object to push, so I used the edge of the table, reversed, reversed again, etc, for about 4 times, and the mechanism opens easily. Of course, you don't actually NEED the lick, it's just a good feature to have. I like the additional security it gives. As for use .. It was so easy! I am really terrible at hula hooping normally, but this was great! The last one I had didn't say that it had to fit the waist snuggly and not droop - I was stunned that I didn't need to use the extra knots!!!! It made me feel good before I even started! Anyhow, the weight glides easily around the track, and I actually shortened the lead cause my cats were eyeballing the weight a little too closely. The weight itself is made of super sleek silicone, which is nice, and the cool, pale aqua is very serene feeling. I only just started using this, but so far I really really like it.

I ordered this on a whim because it looked fun and I’m somebody who absolutely hates exercising and I hate sweating and I have been doing my hoop every single day for the last 2 1/2 weeks for 30-40 minutes. I’m already seeing some great results in terms of my midsection being more firm, Weight loss, toning in my calf, thighs and butt!! I’m telling everybody I know about it. Everybody needs to have one of these hoops. As someone who truthfully hates exercising, I look forward to doing this activity every single day, and I also built myself a high-speed playlist to play along with while I’m hoping. Buy it now!! 💞 Editing (one year later) to add: I’ve been doing it fairly religiously (about 30 minutes a day) and I’ve lost more than 9 inches from my waist. 😍

I added my slightly embarrassing video of my very first time using the product to make the review as real as possible. The product comes completely disassembled while I’ve seen others come at least partially assembled. That being said it was very simple to put together. The counter on it works perfectly. I was counting in my head and it was spot on to the amount that I did. The hoop was snug to my waist with the 12 pieces intended to be added. (There’s one extra in the box incase one breaks) I added photo is of a measurement of the hoop to get an idea if this one would fit if you were thinking of ordering it. You can take links out but not add any. It takes a second to get it going and helps if you really throw it around your body to get it started. I also haven’t used even a regular hula hoop in years so maybe that’s why. One of my concerns is that even on the first use some of the links were catching the weight as it circled around. Maybe that will get smoother with more use but I guess I’ll just have to wait and find out. I’ll update this review after a while of consistent use to state if I’ve seen any progress and how the product is holding up.

I’m a 52 year old overweight nurse. My back hurts constantly from standing on my feet for 12 hour shifts. I purchased this for that middle age spread. It is fun to use, but it is also strengthening my back muscles. It takes some practice, but I get better at it everyday. I put the music on, and it’s like being a kid again. I have no waistline, but this is burning fat much more than sit ups or leg lifts. I urge people to try this. My endurance at work has improved, and I actually look forward to using it. Make sure you get the magnet lock. It’s so easy to use. I very seldom write a review, but it this product is well worth buying. Also, the seller is great to keep in touch if you have any problems or questions.

So I originally purchased the $10 one and it was so flimsy and loud. So I returned and upgraded this $30 one because the description said it was quiet, not as flimsy and overall just a better product. Well.. I do not agree with that. As you can hear in the video, it is just as loud. It is just as flimsy. And the only upgrade that came with it is the counter. Which, I go by time anyway so I wasn’t concerned with that anyway. My goal was to be able to step aside at work to do a 30 min workout, however, this is far too noisy to be able to do that. It is very disruptive.

Great tool for working a muscle group. Would have given it more stars but turns out I am less able to keep this spinning at age 78 than I was with the hoola hoop at age 12. lol Still, I have hope that I will improve in time.

This hula hoop is great! It’s easy to put together and use. It’s well made, feels good quality to me. You can also adjust the size of the hoop by adding or taking off the knots. It works out perfectly for me, I can now exercise wherever I want. Highly recommended!

I am amazed at how smoothly this hula hoop works. I had a different one and could barely get it to go around 3 or 4 times. Right out of the box I was able to successfully hoop for over 10 minutes. I am so pleased with how easy this one works.
