This is really well made, cute as can be - and so extremely small I'm not sure how I'll ever use it. I already had the 10" au gratin by HIC - HIC Porcelain Oval Au Gratin, 10-inch, Set of 4 and use them quite a bit. The 10" are great for an individual entree but I was hoping that these would work for individual side sides. The will hold 4 oz comfortably, without danger of overloading (about 1/4" from the top) and I'm not sure that this is enough for a side dish. Maybe it would work for me; however, my husband would probably need two or three. I'll just have to try. I've posted photos that maybe help. ... show more

Exceedingly well made dish. While I occasionally still have to cook for 20 men like Clemenza in the Godfather, more often it’s just me and the Mrs, so this boat was perfect for the “Lasagna for 2” recipe I whipped up!

I had this dish for years and loved it! I ordered a second one and it arrived broken. The box with the dish was placed in a second box with no filler. It makes no sense.

Living on a boat I have limited galley storage and cook small single meals in a counter-top oven. This is perfect for doing a small cassoulet, Shepherd's Pie, chili cornbread casserole, and the like. Even if I wanted to simply warm some stew in the microwave.
