The 1.25" floating plates allow you to style more hair in less time. Digital temperature reading displayed on a color coded LCD screen allows for proper temperature setting for fine, medium and coarse hair up to 425°F. Ceramic heater with advanced technology for 40 second heat up. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces. Do not wrap the cord around the appliance. Never allow the power supply cord to be pulled, jerked, strained, twisted, or severely bent, especially at the plug connections. The foregoing may damage the cord, including at or near the high flex point of entry into the appliance, causing it to rupture and short. Handle the cord carefully for longer life. The digital temperature control is a big plus—you can choose the exact heat level you need based on your hair type. I usually set it closer to the higher end since my hair is so thick, and it glides through with no pulling or snagging. So far, love it - happy with my purchase. Smooths my hair without pulling. Easy to use & I love that you can adjust the heat & it beeps when it’s done heating up. Heats up VERY fast. Very happy with the quality of this and that it comes with a travel case. So far so good, hopefully it lasts.

I have used my old Remington flat iron for 2 years and it died on me. I used my friends CHI on vacation and was impressed by the quality, hers is 5-6 years old. CHI was recommended me to by several friends because of the quality and long lasting use. I love that this flat iron is dual voltage for travel. I ordered the CHI original and CHI G2 To compare, the only difference I noticed is the G2 has an 11 ft cord and the original has a 6.. I prefer the shorter cord. Also the G2 has color coded settings which I don’t believe is necessary- it’s just a selling point. Both flat irons heat up fast and work great however I chose to keep the original because it is a ceramic plate which is less damaging to hair over time. The G2 has titanium infused plates which can be drying and damaging to hair. My one complaint would be that I wish it had a lock feature for storage. I did reorder this on target because it was $50 cheaper… Overall I am happy with the CHI and looking forward to getting a lot of use out of it! ... show more

I initially got this flat iron as emergency because I was going to Brazil and needed a dual voltage flat iron ( before purchasing this I was using a babyliss but it’s not dual voltage) When it arrived I was so skeptical due to the light weight of it… I serious doubted the effectiveness of it… the dual voltage and worked the whole month that I was there. Now just to let y'all know my hair length is long, wavy but thick!!! Brazil’s weather is hot and extremely humid, so you sweat all the time and your wet gets the humidity…needless to say that most flat irons works only for a short period in my hair with such a humid weather like that! Well this flat iron not only did the job but actually Maintained my hair in place and straight much longer than my babyliss or any other! Also left my hair shiny and soft! It’s incredible potent and light weight, easy to handle it (again way lighter than babyliss) I would definitely buy it again! I had an OG Chi flat iron for about 10 years and it finally died. I was skeptical to try a newer model because I feel that things are just not made the same. Let me prep it by saying the only time I use my flat iron is when I’m running late for work lol. This flat iron is awesome! It heats up so fast! It even has different settings for the types of hair.
