Digital temperature reading displayed on a color coded LCD screen allows for proper temperature setting for fine, medium and coarse hair up to 425°F. Ceramic heater with advanced technology for 40 second heat up. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces. Do not wrap the cord around the appliance. Never allow the power supply cord to be pulled, jerked, strained, twisted, or severely bent, especially at the plug connections. The foregoing may damage the cord, including at or near the high flex point of entry into the appliance, causing it to rupture and short. Handle the cord carefully for longer life. After doing extensive research on the best straighteners in my budget range ($125 max), I couldn't decide between the Babyliss Pro or the CHI G2--but ended up ordering this one since it was a killer deal and the fact that my former CHI had lasted me for yeaaaars. In the end. I really couldn't be any happier with my decision. Now normally, I have very thick/course/wavy/long/frizzy hair---but not after I'm done using this straightener! I don't want to sound like a corny infomercial or anything but I literally only have to go through the strand once before it's perfectly smooth and straight--it genuinely feels like I just left the salon when I'm done. It's super easy to use and it legit shortened the amount of time I usually have to spend straightening my hair. Also LOVE that it came with a thermal mat and automatically turns off after an hour---this was something my other CHI did not have and because I'm guilty of leaving it on more times than I care to admit, I'm especially appreciative of this feature. :) The temperature controls and how it can tell you which temperature you should be using based on your hair type is really cool and definitely could be helpful for someone who isn't used to using a straightener. I also like how the buttons are on the inside of the straightener now so you don't have to worry about accidentally turning it off or turning the temp up/down as your straightening your hair. I honestly don't have anything negative to say about the G2---usually there's always something that bothers me or a feature I wish it had, but this G2 really has it all. Initially I wanted a full titanium straightener, so I was a little apprehensive about getting one where the titanium is only "infused" into the ceramic plates---but as someone who has tried both, I can assure you it works JUST as well. If you're wanting a professional quality straightener without spending an arm and a leg, this is definitely one of your best options. And if you're wanting a professional quality straightener and budget isn't an issue for you, this is still one of your best options! ... show more

This Replaced a 15 year old Chi, so I’m a fan of the brand. Different heat settings are good for me and my tween to both get what we need out of it (I’m coarse hair hers is medium curly and more delicate). Auto turn off! Heating fully in one minute!!! Does great work! (Mixed hair, very thick, pretty curly, wasn’t even all the way dry - - I know I know: totally does the trick! 10/10. I bought this for $85 and I wasn't sure what to expect. I've had my fair share of ordering/buying hair straighteners since my tweens. This is definitely my more advance buy, and, wow. I am pleasantly surprised. I did purchase this Nov 11th of 2023 and took it on a Holiday trip and, it really held up. I was able to curl my hair the way I liked (makes sure to use mousse and/or hairspray to keep them in place), it had auto-set temperatures for different types of hair-- which I appreciate! --it was quick to heat up, did a BEEP when it was done heating up, and, probably more that I've yet to discover?! I really like it! I hope it doesn't die out in the next coming months or the next coming years. This is my go-to at the moment and I LOVE! I LOVE THIS THING. I am so flipping obsessed. It doesn't damage my hair when I use it, granted I put a little heat protectant in my hair but I constantly flip my hair out, flip it inward! It's seriously magic. I have always found it hard to curl my hair using Wands and I hate the clamp a regular curling iron leaves behind on my pin straight hair plus everything else I use seems to make the task of curling my hair take forever. I turn on my flat iron and it heats up quick, I can style my hair in literally 15-20 minutes right before work. It took me a few tries to get used to it and it was a trial and error on what curls you can create with this iron but it has proven successful. I also am in love with the fact that it has the on and off and heat buttons inside below the clamp so you don't accidentally turn it off. The only flaw I can say that comes with this is that I have read the reviews before I previously bought and they said things about the heat going back to the highest setting by itself if you try to adjust it. Unfortunately I chose to ignore those comments because I figured maybe it was occurring only in a few but they proved to right seeing as it happened the day I just got the iron and opened to box to use it. Sometimes, varying in days though, it doesn't adjust its own heat setting, I like to use a lower setting because it makes me feel like I'm not torching my hair on fire but this was the only problem I have seemed to encounter with the product. Nice value for CHI brand. The adjustable temperate is great as original CHI I had did not have that feature. Extra long cord is very nice and silky bag case is a plus. Makes hair silky and straight. Glad I purchased.
