This initially seemed like a decent lamp for the money with a number of different lighting option and many ways to adjust it. But we found that no matter what we did this would turn on randomly on its own. Multiple times per day. This seems like a safety issue to us. Unfortunately we figured this out after the return window had passed so we still have it but only plug it in when we want to actively use it. We will be exploring replacements but aren't even willing to donate it because we don't want to pass along the problem. ... show more

It is made in China so take that for what it is worth. It will do for what I need it and it looks fine. The pole is very skinny, the base is heavy enough to hold it. The lamp shade is fabric and seem to be of good enough quality. When the bulb burns out it is my understanding that other bulbs will not work with the remote. My fix for that will be to get a smart bulb and use the app on my phone for it. I prefer that anyway, but will use the bulb that came with it until it burns out. The bulb that came with it can be dimmed and made to have yellow light or bluish bright light. The brightness is only okay but works to help me see what I need to see. Overall, for the money I think it is worth it. UPDATE: I bought another one for my spouse. It looks just like mine but the magnet doesn't work for the remote. I put the new remote on my lamp and it stays, but the new remote will not stay on the new lamp. It lightly sticks to it and then slides down to the bottom. Other than that, it seems to work fine. ... show more

Looks great in the office. I love the adjustable shade. Point it towards the ceiling it makes a nice ambient light. Point it down to the desk for focused light. Point it at someone just to annoy them. Seriously, this is a solid lamp with a heavy base so it is sturdy. Linen lampshade is real and not printed on the shade. Classy.
