I’ve only had this thing for about a week and a half, and I couldn’t be happier. I was skeptical at first because the blades don’t look very heavy duty, but now I understand why. This thing is meant to maintain, not do any kind of heavy mowing. The part of my back yard that this is assigned to is nearly 6,000 square feet; I measured it with a measuring wheel, and it is heavily sloped and pretty bumpy due to the fact that the builder (DR Horton) is garbage. All of the warnings about needing a flat even yard had me extremely skeptical about this experiment. Also, I bought the one with two batteries thinking I’d have to rotate it around the yard in zones, but that hasn’t been necessary. Last week, we had record breaking storms here in North Texas. It rained sideways for several days, we had hail storms and tornadoes. My back yard got all the rain it would have needed for the year in about a week. So, I expected my weeds to shoot up overnight. But, as soon as there was no more standing water in the low spots, I put this mower out there. Because of the size of the yard, I’m running it almost everyday. I cannot express to you how happy I am with this mower. No setup required, which was important to me. I just set it in the yard and turned it loose. It takes the hill like a champ. However, I did experiment in my front yard a little, and the hill there is a little steeper, and it tipped it over. So your hill has to be a nice gentle, not too steep, incline. Of course it works better when it’s dry because it will slip a little in the dew or after a light rain. It has no problem navigating my bumpy yard. I’ll never have to mow this massive yard again. Each battery lasts far longer than the 3 hours specified. I love this thing and won’t go without a robomower ever again. My wife named our Moweesha Mowmowa, and she’s quickly become a beloved family member. I was even inspired to pull out my old Roomba 960, Mr. Carson, that was out of commission and give it a tune up, so now we’ve got robots inside and outside. Don’t hesitate, buy this thing.

Some yard prep may be necessary. Fill holes or even out divots. I watched the mower move around my yard, and this helped me realize that I have some low/uneven areas that make it difficult for the mower to function properly. Tree roots are also something to consider. I will use the magnetic strip to keep the mower away from tree roots, and just use the weed eater in that area. I set it loose on half the yard, and it worked perfectly. The other half requires some work from me first. Once I’m done prepping it, I’m confident it will work as intended. I also purchased some steel garden edging for my front yard, so I can define the area that I need it to mow. So far, so good!

I needed a robot mower for my home in Singapore, to mow a small front yard, right around 1000 sq ft. I didn't want a mower that I needed to park (and charge while) on the lawn, and I also didn't want a guidewire leading from my large patio to the front yard. Here in Singapore, it's not really necessary to mow a lawn more than 1-2 a month, so just keeping it in my storage shed would suffice. This Ocumow is the most basic one, sometimes referred to as the VBRM601YCM, and also sometimes referred to as the "200 Series" robot mower. It works very well, for what it is supposed to do. I put it on the grass, hit a few buttons, and it randomly criss-crosses across my yard. The mowing height is very reliable. I set it at 2" and it is giving a great uniform cut. The only sound coming out of it is the blades cutting the grass; it is extremely whisper-quiet. The first time I ran the robot, it had to tackle some very tall grass, around 7" tall. I wouldn't recommend expecting it to tackle that, but mine managed to charge through over some time. When tackling that kind of tall grass, the fully charged battery ran out in about 3 hours. But as is mentioned in reviews online, when this robot mower is just maintaining your yard, and doesn't have to tackle tall grass, the battery can last for 4.5 to 5 hours on a single charge. I have owned this robot mower now for just a few weeks, but it appears to be very durable. The only comment I've read online is that some say that I may need to replace the blades after a year or so of use. The robot mower came with the grass trimmer, which is definitely good enough. This combo comes with 2 batteries, and the batteries charge pretty quickly, and fit really easily into both the machines. If you are in Singapore, and are tired of mowing your lawn in hot and humid weather, this is a good package to pick up from this Amazon listing.

After more performances of the mower will see if I increase my rating. Be sure and check the blades before first use. In accordance with the instructions the blades need to spin freely. The blades arrived on the machine shimmed which preventing the blades from spinning freely. The mower does a great job at stopping when it comes to concrete or an asphalt street. The batteries have an excellent charge life of over three hours of use on a full charge. The mower became stuck once in a hole and in a ditch once turned over but I have been truly amazed at the slopes that it has navigated without issues. A couple Iris plants received a little lashing from the mower but not enough to be concerning. I have not tried the weed-eater edger yet. At the price to receive two batteries, charger, robot mower and a weed-eater edger the price seems to me to be a great value as compared to purchasing each item individually. The mower operates independently without an app or needing to bury wires that a neighbor will cut with their short mowing with a gas riding mower. I purchased the package for the mower to use it to mow my toy poodles yard. She is not afraid of the mower but I make sure she isn’t in the yard while it is mowing to keep her safe. The mower is very quiet, much quieter than our neighbors Mustang with modified mufflers. When it’s working and I am in the house I don’t hear it at all. With gas prices over $4.00 a gallon so nice to have a non polluting quiet mower that I don’t have to watch every moment.

I don`t like having my backyard mowed by the yard people as the fume of the mowers they use makes air quality unenjoyable for hours. So first i got a regular battery operated mower, worked great, but it was time consuming. When i started looking for a robotic mower i found that the solution with all the putting down cables alls over my yard is not for me and my type of backyard (small, U shaped formation with some bushes and a tree in between, not a lot of elevation). So i wanted to have something what i can drop on the lawn and it will start mowing. Then i discovered this guy, almost 2 years ago. Setting it up was a breeze and have been loving it ever since. If it ever gives up we will replace it with a product from this company again. We named it Crush as it moves like the sea turtle in Finding Nemo, laid back but super reliable. Once in a while it would get stuck, especially if the soil is wet, but we have learned to time mowing more towards the afternoon or evening hours. The machine is so quiet that you can run it any time of the day otherwise. It is small and lightweight, so whenever not in use we store it in the deck box. We live in South Texas with very quick growing St Augustine grass and our backyard has started looking better and better ever since this guy has mowed it, won`t go back to lawn service ever!

I like the true set and forget feature. Easy to assemble as you put the battery in, put it on the grass and press start. Battery lasts long, and seems durable. The object detection also works well. However, even after 4 hours of cutting, it still had missed a lot of spots on my small yard. I tried it several days, and same results. Because of the random nature of the mower it would always miss a spot. I ended up going with a Segway Navimow instead. May work for you if you don’t mind a few missed spots.
