In the moment that I got it, I walked out to my vehicle, plugged it in, and followed a simple procedure in order to determine whether or not it was able to accurately detect any potential problems that were hiding in the shadows. This had an immediate impact on me in terms of providing me with code information that made it easier for me to comprehend what was really taking on behind the scenes. Rather than seeing a warning light that was broad in nature, I was provided with some clarification about whether the issue was linked to emissions, a misfire, or some particular fault issue. The first scan provided confirmation of a hunch I had about the reading from an oxygen sensor. This was a problem that I had suspected but never had the evidence to substantiate on my own.

It lets you control different parts to see if they're working right, and it can read and clear error codes from all over your car. It also helps with basic maintenance like resetting oil and tire pressure lights. The screen is easy to read, and it's built tough. Plus, it can track data and show you what's happening in real time. It works with lots of different car brands, and regular updates keep it working with newer cars. Overall, it's a great gadget to have for keeping your car in good shape.

Having a tool like this in your tool box can be helpful, even if you aren’t a mechanic. This tool provides a simple way to detect and repair issues on many levels for the cars it supports out of the box. Came 50% charged and ready to use. Detected the car without an issue and found a fault. I was able to do my repair and clear the code. *There are updates available for this device to support more cars but, they aren’t free and require a subscription to use. This is an added bonus if needed.

Careful....the description says it works with Jeep products and that may be true for vehicles that are older then 2018. FCA authorization is not required for basic scans, but it is required for clearing DTC codes and advanced functionality like system tests and actuations or adding key fobs. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) implemented a secure gateway module that was introduced on 2018 and newer model vehicles. Access to certain diagnostic functions requires registration and authentication through an approved service (AUTOAUTH) for all aftermarket scan tools. You can buy access for $50 supports unlocking of the FCA gateway to enable enhanced diagnostics on 2018 and newer FCA vehicles (Jeep, Fiat, Chrysler, Dodge).

This product is energy-saving, but it takes a lot of time to update , and it is easy to operate. Every time I go to get my car serviced, the staff finds a lot of problems with the car. I use this tool to check for difficult problems in advance and deal with them myself first. Otherwise, it would be too expensive to find someone to repair the car. I can also know if the problem is the same as the one at the repair shop.

Automatically connects and detects what car you have. It came in handy when my check engine light came on and it offered the code, reason, and possible solutions which ended up being right! Saved the mechanic fee so it paid for itself. It was a simple fix. It also has data logging for more advanced use, you can see voltage across time on injectors for example. A simple scanner works best for everyday use, but DIYers would get a lot more out of this.

As a tow truck driver I keep it with me always in the truck as it doesn’t take up a lot of space , comes with a nice carrying case. I’ve had random CELs come up on my truck and I just grab it out the glove box or if one our trucks has a code I’ve used it to clear and read them for the owner. Had a few customers with broken down cars towed them to shops and informed them of the codes just so they can have a general basis on what it may actually be or could be. Comes in handy quite often and I never leave for work without it with me . Plug it in and you’re ready to go. Has constant updates and works on majority of makes and models . Charges itself off the OBD2 port or otherwise uses USB C

After Using several different code readers over the years, I found this one and it is by far the best code reader I have ever seen. It does alot more than I will ever need and is extremely user friendly and simple to use. I would definitely give this product 10 stars if that was an option.
