I am really impressed with this scan tool. The last creader I bought was a while ago and it only read generic codes. This tool reads all the modules, hooks up to AutoAuth for the newer Stelantis vehicles, has bidirectional controls, advanced functions, looks at scan data, graphs scan data, and a lot more. I was able to test the window motor on my 2018 Ram 1500. It wasn't working at the switch so I was able to control it through the door module confirming the switch was bad. It still has the obd generic side as well if you wanted to hook up to any basic engine computer for emissions related information.

I recently bought the Launch Creader Elite 2.0 , and I must say—it’s a real gem for both car enthusiasts and professional mechanics. This OBD2 scanner is fully compatible with Ford, GM, and Chrysler vehicles, offering comprehensive diagnostics across all systems even if you need to scanne any other brand you can use the regular obd2 protocol wich still very helpful for any brand or model ----- What I liked: - Bidirectional control: lets you actively test components like the fuel pump, A/C clutch, and more - Advanced ECU coding: perfect for replacements and customizations in many american model and other ( you need to do updates and are free) - 100+ free reset functions: including oil reset, battery registration on newer models i tested and i love it , idle learning, etc. - Lifetime Wi-Fi updates is a perfect option and budget friedly, no need to pay for extra updates : no need for SD cards or a PC just connect to WIFI - Smooth Android 8.1 interface with a responsive 4-inch touchscreen -----What could be improved: - The screen is a bit small for extended use BUT on other hand is practical and easy to transport ( wich I Like ) - It’s optimized for specific brands (Ford, GM, Chrysler), so compatibility with other vehicles should be checkedIN Conclusion for this little beast: A powerful, fast, and reliable tool—ideal for diagnosing and fixing issues without a trip to the garage. Completely useless. I attempted to scan 2 vehicles one had a check engine light and it said not equipped with ECM. I tried updating the device and it still didn’t work. Pretty much a screen you plug into your car and it lights up and tells you not equipped. Used a $20 scanner and got my check engine codes instead. Buyer beware!

Works for my 2001 Ford Excursion 7.3, I had a problem using it to start with, gave me a code to report to manufacture and wouldn't scan, I contacted Amazon that put me in touch with the overseas maker, they sent me a message to use a IM icon on my scanner to use support help on your scanner, the problem with that was mine it was a more expensive models and mine was a lessor model that did not have that icon, I went back in the scanner and reset the firmware down load and that cleared the code, I was able to run active scans with live data, Buzz test and seen the codes I was trying to clear after my 2001 Excursion 7.3 had a CPS code, I changed the CPS and was good to go but had to clear the CEL and codes that it had shown. I like this scanner despite the problem on first use, I recommend this scanner but would caution you of the fact that this is a over seas scanner and you will have to deal with support from China, they are on a different time so if you want to able to talk to support I suggest that you get one of these from a dealer in the USA. It was a real good price but I was unaware at the time of purchase of this scanner that it was from a overseas seller.

This is my 3rd Launch scan tool, and I keep coming back to Launch because they offer industry leading support for so many makes and model. This c reader elite tool is great for quick jobs like Subaru park brake release if you’re doing a simple brake pad job. Registering a battery on a bmw? No problem! Need to perform a diesel DPF regen on a Chevy? No problem! This is by far the best hand held tool in the price range that you will own. Video is coming, to show you how easy it is to use. This is a great tool for anyone. You don’t have to be a mechanic to use it. It’s very user friendly me has so many guided tests. You can save thousands of dollars without going to a mechanic. I love that I can send the complete fault code list of my car to my email address to view for later and keep on file. It’s small and portable, I leave it in my center console or glove box and keep it with me for road trips. I feel safer knowing I can diagnose my car anytime. Anywhere.

I went with this scan tool mainly because 1) bi-directional and 2) no monthly subscription. The touch screen is responsive and load times are fast. I have owned a few that are 3-4X the money and while they may have a larger screen, the functions and performance are basically the same, especially for a DIYer like myself.
