This seemed to work well on both my 2008 nissan and my 2013 mercedes. With both I was able to pull an codes and clear them. I was also able to pull real time stats from both vehicles. the interface is intuitive enough that I was able to move through most features without the need to read the instructions. There is also a information menu in this that gives you common causes to some engine codes. the only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because I can't seem to get the update tool to download. There is a card enclosed with a web location to it, but on that page, clicking on the link to the update tool, takes you to a 404 error. If there was no mention of updates or the card with a link to where it may be, I probably would have given this 5 stars as everything seems to work as expected. My only concerns come from my perception I may be missing out on something in updates. [UPDATE] Support got back to me the day after I had mentioned with a good link to the update tool. what I had received in my order was running a very recent version of what was available.

I bought this for use with a 2005 Dodge Magnum, in order to read Transmission codes, and this scanner did not disappoint. In addition to reading both ECM and TCM codes, this scanner can provide data of everything that goes on in the engine / transmission systems in real-time. The interface is a little silly, with only four buttons required for any use, but it's easy to handle and reads plainly and clearly. The initial cost is a penny and a bit, but it'll save you trips to the shop for diagnostic work, and if you're a DIY'er like I am, you won't have to hunt for the problem.

This device works well for what it does. However I was expecting more from it, such as brake resetting and more complex operations. I use it for simple operations such as resetting faults.

Got this because airbag light was on in 07 corolla. This was able to read and clear the codes right outta the box, no update or registering needed. Was able to use it’s clear function to diagnose a bad clock spring by shorting the squibs. Thing is very fast too. Read all the historical stuff too, good to see if buying used car. This will pay for itself 10 times over. Just be sure your car is in the list of supported cars. Was very intuitive, no instructions needeed. And the person who said it was doa and wouldnt stay charged... uh there isnt an internal battery bud. It never said it would do those things. It runs on your cars battery and saves data to a micro card your pc can read later if you wanted. Never needed the card. I get enough info from the scan tool itself.

User manual and product info referred to a memory card and adapter, this device had a USB drive in the box. Downloaded and unzipped the files. Two issues: 1. When copying to the USB, it stopped at 2% and error said "DYI disk has been pulled out". Same result with 2nd attempt. Uninstalled the app, downloaded and unzipped again. Used one of my USB drives and successfully downloaded the files! Thought to myself, not a big deal, their USB is corrupted. 2. Next step was to transfer the files from the USB into the Creader VII+, which proved impossible. The port on the device was not a USB port. Neither my USB, or the corrupted drive that came in the box, would fit. My conclusion is; they have transitioned from memory cards to a USB and my Creader VII+ was an older reader that accepted the card and adapter. Returned for a refund, rather than a replacement. I was afraid the replacement would have the same problem. Greg

It has a so reasonable price that I just decided to buy this to use for my car rather than going to the shop and having them tell me that I have a gazillion things wrong with my car. As claimed, this car scanner can be used to read the diagnostic trouble code and analyze the running status of my car. When there is some trouble with my car’s Engine, transmission, ABS and SRS, it will show me the diagnostic trouble codes and tell me the meaning of the code. With reference to the live data stream, I can also timely identify potential faults before it develops to serious malfunctions. It is unnecessary to worry that you can’t understand the parameters because the format of the information can be changed in the chart, graph, etc. modes according to actual needs. It’s definitely a great investment in my view, if you are looking for a cost-effective car scanner, I’ll recommend the LAUNCH VII+.

I bought a Bluetooth code reader before this purchasing, but because of unstable Bluetooth connection, the diagnostic information detected by that code reader is not accurate enough. This code scanner can start to work after simply plugging into the OBD II port, and it is very good at deciphering error codes of four systems, also providing me with viable solutions to the problem. For example, I got the error code of ABS - C1095, and it’s for "ABS Hydraulic Pump Motor Circuit Failure". Such a code reader can be caused by damaged or defective ABS hydraulic pump, wheel speed sensor(s), wheel bearings, Low brake fluid, Blown or damaged fuses, etc. and with series diagnosis, I am sure that the damaged wheel speed sensor(s) caused the failure. I managed to replace those sensors and cleared the diagnostic trouble codes. The warning light didn’t pop on the dashboard again. If you are interested in getting your car problem fixed yourself, I highly recommend this code scanner to you, it won’t let me disappoint!
