I bought a latex pillow 15 years ago from JCPenney. It lasted through three babies and sleepless nights, to current day 2020 and still was extremely comfortable. I decided though to randomly wash it and RUINED IT immediately. My favorite pillow; instantly gone. I went back to JCPenney and they did not have any in stock, so I searched Amazon. The first pillow I ordered was latex and had good reviews. I got it and it was extremely fluffy but way too firm (and also had a chemical smell to it). Instant return! I researched more and came across this pillow and company. I read all their info/reviews and liked they were a small family business and their pillows were adjustable (too hard, take out some stuffing). I received the pillow fast and was worried about a smell (I am very sensitive to smells) and the only thing I truly smelled was like a "new fresh smell", not chemicals. The pillow is heavy but cloud-like. Night one: a little too firm. Night two: took out a quart size bag of stuffing and now have the PERFECT PILLOW AGAIN! My kids are even jealous of the way this pillow feels. THANK YOU for making a great quality american product! The pillow is worth every penny!

This is the second shredded latex pillow I’ve owned, but first time with this brand. When it arrived, I was worried it wouldn’t work out because it has a lot less filling than my old pillow. But this one is less lumpy; I think the foam distributes more evenly. I have slept very soundly on it in the past week of using it. My main reason for using this type of pillow is because my ears are very sensitive and hurt when pressed against most pillows. I’ve had no ear pain with this. UPDATE: Still going strong after 3 months!

Several months ago, after months of research I bought a talalay latex hybrid mattress to replace the Sealy mattress that I've been sleeping on for over 40 years. The talalay latex mattress proved to be the most wonderful and comfortable mattress I have ever slept on. I started thinking about getting some equally wonderful pillows. Are there any talalay latex pillows out there to go with my talalay latex mattress? That's what led me to the Sleep Artisan Encore Pillow. The reviews were high rated and the pillow looked beautiful and it was made with talalay latex. And I loved the idea of a pillow having a zipper for adjustment. My mattress also has a zipper in case I want to change the latex firmness. So it seemed a perfect choice. I was so excited. When I first got the pillow and felt it with my hand, it felt so wonderfully soft. However, after I laid on it for a while it became really uncomfortable for me. No problem. The pillow just needed some fill removal and adjustment. And for days I tried multiple adjustments all the way to a flat pillow. Still not comfortable for me. For days I never slept on the pillow over night. I had to use my old Serta pillow. So, I called Sleep Artisan and explained the problem. She really didn't have a solution, but basically said no pillow fits everyone and I may have to try different pillows to find the one perfect for me. In desperation, I bought a bag of Silky Poly Fill from the JoAnn store and thought I might try adding some to the pillow to make it more comfortable. However, when I emptied all the pillow fill into a 27 gal storage container, I was suprised to see all these clumps of latex pieces with static clinging poly fill wrapped all around them. I wondered if this wasn't the source of my discomfort. I decided to break up all these clumps and put the fill back in the pillow without adding any extra Silky Poly Fill. To my delightment the pillow felt like a down pillow. At last, I solved the problem. However, when I went to bed that night, the pillow once again felt uncomfortable. So, I shook the pillow to try and break up the clumps. I got the pillow to be comfortable enough to fall asleep. However, at 2AM I woke up with extreme pain in my neck. At that moment, I decided enough was enough and later that morning I sent the pillow back to Amazon. UPDATE: I'm happy to report that I finally did find my perfect pillow. It is a FloBeds Shredded Latex Pillow. It is a talalay latex pillow with no added fibers. It is latex shredded to popcorn shapes. It is definitely the most comfortable pillow I've ever slept on. It is easy to adjust the shape to your desire and it holds the shape very well. I was so impressed by the comfort of this pillow that I ordered a second one. I now have my perfect talaway latex mattress with 2 perfect talaway latex pillows. Lucky me!

I'm a restless sleeper, so I need a pillow that's very soft and fluffy for when I'm on my stomach, but also provides enough support for when I'm not. Latex is the best affordable option (fortunately not allergic), because it's very bouncy and gives nice support, but I still need to customize it. I've had terrible luck lately with products not made in the US, so that was also high on my list. This is the only pillow I could find (at any price!) that was latex, customizable, and locally made... and I am SO HAPPY with it. The minute I took it out of the box I could tell the quality was impeccable. The description is 100% true -- it's very high loft, has no chemical smell, very easy to customize. The fabric of the pillow insert is very silky and stretchy, and the pillow cover is incredibly soft and even somewhat padded. My only reservation is that the filling is mostly latex (which you can see in one of the pictures), so when it compresses it's not quite as soft and fluffy as I need, but that's just me. I happened to have an existing pillow filled with the same kind of high-quality polysilk fiber, so I took some fill out of that one and mixed it into this fill, which worked great. This was the first morning in MONTHS that I haven't had a headache when I woke up.

I absolutely love this pillow! It was nearly perfect when it arrived but I need very lofty since I am a side sleeper. I ended up ordering more fill from their website and added about 2.5 more fist fulls of filling to the pillow. I was going to give 4 stars for that but I just can't. I had to give 5 stars, because this is hands down the best pillow I have ever had. It's soft yet firm and makes my head feel buoyant. I am such a pillow snob and have tried many pillows on amazon and elsewhere. This is the one!
