    • Bought one last summer and it works so good I just bought another for this summer!
I loved the one I bought last summer so much I bought another for the living room. Last summer I purchased the same exact fan from the same seller here on Amazon. I ran that puppy three feet from the feet of my bed right on me as a second fan all last summer and it worked great. During the heat this Spring in the Coachella Valley I ran the fan again for two months straight pointed at me feet three feet from my bed. It worked great and kept me from over sweating. Never showed any ware or tear after 6 months of heavy use and using it again still. This summer I wanted one next to the couch in the living room to clip onto the lamp. It works great just like the first one has so the build is meant to last.. Strong little two speed motor and it's pretty quiet. The clamp works great and has a nice grip so you can hang it onto a lot of different object and in different rooms. Works great next to a bed, in an office, bathroom, anywhere that needs a little extra air flow. So it works great, nice and quiet and it keeps the air flow going plus works great close up.(three feet away) ... show more

Excellent value. I needed a portable fan for an extended motorcycle trip that included some non-air conditioned cabins with 110V power. My riding friends all bought battery powered fans. Even after considering the lightweight extension cord I bought, they paid more and had very little air movement with those battery fans; MUCH less air than this fan. They also paid again when they needed batteries after every 3rd night. The cord is reasonably long. The switch is easy to manipulate. You can hang it on a screw or nail and the clamp works very well too. Once mounted, you can articulate this thing to blow air in almost any direction. It's extremely quiet. The airflow is not tremendous but I think it's very good for such a small fan. The ability to fold it up some by arranging the clamp, fan head and swivel post was helpful too. It didn't take up too much space in the motorcycle side cases. For camp use I think it's very good. ... show more

    • I didn't like having to return it, but everything's better now..
It's missing the spring for the Clip Assembly, and as such can't be hung from things. And this I don't like. ======================================= Update: Amazon got me a "complete" fan in 2 days. Well done Amazon. As for the fan: it's sturdy and definitely gets a good grip on things - I have other models that don't grip half as well. It's quite and moves air nicely - it's more a breeze than a wind but even on the low setting it was gently moving leaves on a plants 10-12 feet across the room. The only issue I have right now is to figure out what the seller meant by "pivot" in the description. Did it mean the fan head can be both pitched up/down as well as pivoted left/right? Or is it that you can turn the whole fan left or right while clipped - that the clip assemble won't stop you? Of course, the instructions don't address it - actually there is no mention of pivoting the fan at all. Moving the whole fan left/right is OK as long as the surface you've clipped it to will accommodate the clip to move about. Being able to pivot just the fan head is very handy and I'm looking hard at the seam between the fan head and the clip assemble to see if there's a hidden button. ====================================== Final update: The fan head DOES pivot. The seam has notches on the clip side and the other side has 2 teeth 180 degrees from one another that fit nicely inside the slot. If you grab hold of the clip with one hand, and the fan head with the other, and pull them apart, the seam will separate allowing you to turn it to a new slot left or right. Nice, simple solution. The seller really should update their pitch to explain this feature. Thanks.... ... show more

    • Very reliable fan
This is my second fan, the first one lasted about 8 years and it was starting to make some sounds. I knew It was time to upgrade and it worked so well, I got the same fan! I use this on high to blow in cricket bins for air circulation. I have had it hinged on a rack leg in the same spot with the head lowered down and this thing stayed put all these years. It is like a personal fan, very quiet and gentle air flow. It is not going to cool a room but only what is in front of it a few feet. So you could use this in a room or office with people who don't like fans and this shouldn't bother them. ... show more

The price has come down since I paid almost 20 bucks. If you pay more than 10 dollars you might feel a little cheated with what you get. I liked the clip, it would have been great if you could work it from either side, but when you assemble it you have to ask yourself where you want it, because once you snap it together when assembling it from the box, thats it, it can be attached to something left handed or right handed but not both (not reversible), once you snap it together you have made a definitive choice for the rest of the fans life. The plastic is cheap and the spring (metal) is contained by the cheap plastic frame. I wince every time apply pressure to the handle to release the clamp because I can feel in my grip the spring straining against the thin cheap plastic that houses it. It does swivel up and down and can be locked into position, this is the best working feature on this fan and I have no complaints. The fan is almost silent, very little noise. The settings for the two speeds also worked well, and there is some difference in the two settings, so, no complaints there either. ... show more
