VERY IMPRESSED with how much more heat this little heater generates, compared to the same wattage cheaper options without the ceramic. This is my 3rd space heater for my garage man-cave in Phoenix, AZ, where we need heat but not a ton. My previous two 1500 watt space heaters cost $25 each and had the exposed coil and a fan. They BARELY could keep up and on a cold day, they just were inadequate. This ceramic plate heater tho pumps out - geeze, maybe double the heat! It cooks me most evenings, even with the garage door open a bit for ventilation. My only gripe is that the heat on "high" is too hot to warm my hands (it just burns). I wish I had a BIT more fan speed, which would (hopefully) give me lower temp air so I could warm my hands comfortably, while maintaining the same total heat output. I bought one of these to have on standby for the very coldest days of winter. But I tested it first in the master bedroom and it does a rather good job of maintaining the temperature in there at 75, when the central unit's thermostat is set on 68. It has a simple thermostat control whose operation is explained in the manual. So far it has worked very well. It is so small I really didn't expect much and so far I have only used the lowest power setting and I have not dialed the temperature much past the quarter turn mark. I doubt that I will ever have to use the maximum power. Odds are I'll get another one for the office. Impact on utility bill remains to be seen but I expect that to be positive, in that the device, as I use it, puts out a fairly constant low level heat and I find that the central unit runs less often. So far the coldest temperature outdoors has been around 15 F. I think a few of these would suffice to heat a small house if it is very well-insulated. My house IS very well insulated. Probably I'll get a couple more. ... show more

This is my 2nd Lasko Electric Ceramic Space Heater. I have 1 in my master bathroom + 1 in my garage workshop. I only use them for a max 3 hrs at a time because they are not an expensive heaters + afraid to put them on for extended period of time. My bathroom is app 75 sq. ft. so, it's sufficient for the space + I turn it on app 3 hrs before I shower. My workshop is 1 side of a garage + I aim the heater where I am working + keep turning it in the direction I'm move to. Since the garage is not insulated > the lower the outside temp drops outside, the longer it takes to heat. ... show more

I bought an older version of this back in 2015 and it has just started to die on me. Smells like it's burning and the fan isn't working, so I decided to replace it with the closest replica I could. This is it, as far as I can tell. I keep it under my work desk to keep my feetsies toasty in the winter. Works perfect.     • A LOT OF HEAT, JUST NOT VERY GOOD CONTROL

The units put out a LOT of heat. Very happy with that aspect. The thermostat however, is nearly killing the deal. I get that its not digital so its not going to be fine tuned, but i set the thing to come on around 70F last night....and it got down around 60F in my place and the things never did kick on. If it had a better thermostat Id give the entire unit five stars. Heat - 5 stars Safety - 5 stars thermostat - 1 star EDIT So after messing with the heater for a bit now it is actual possible to get it more fine tuned to a degree range. But you have to keep making very small adjustments... Like a mm or so up or down till you get the temp to where you like it. Definitely a bit of a process but I think I finally got them to keep the place about 72F EDIT disregard the last edit. I turned them down for a while then reset the dial to the exact position it was in before and the temp changed enough to notice. They put out some heat, but its pretty much going to be a dice roll as to what temp your place is going to be. ... show more

Nice little heater, simple to use. Has a longer cord than most (8 foot rather than 6 foot). Has safety features. Unfortunately two things didn't work for me: 1)Extremely loud. I bought a heater so I could warm up my office while working my business, which involves Zoom meetings. The heater is too loud so I can't have it on while I am in a Zoom meeting. 2) Takes a very long time to heat up a room, after half an hour or forty five minutes, the room is not warm enough yet. ... show more

I needed a new space heater so did some research and this one was very highly rated on three different sources. It is easily one of the best heaters Iโ€™ve ever had. Controls are simple to figure out and temperature control is exceptionally precise. My favorite feature is a turn-off switch on the bottom that activates even if the heater tilts part way. Also, this heater is very quiet on low and not bad at all on high. Finally, I have a boss that is always freezing at work so I bought one to give her so she doesnโ€™t have to bundle up inside her office. Obviously, I highly recommend this heater! ... show more
