This at-home laser hair removal device is well made and pretty easy to use once you figure out how, though the instructions are incredibly bad. They appear to have been (poorly) auto-translated from another language without anyone fluent in English reviewing them, which makes parts nearly nonsensical. That said, the device itself seems well designed and works well so far. The built-in cooling feature is excellent — after each pulse of light, the skin feels calm and comfortable instead of hot/irritated. I started with the lowest power setting (there are five or six total) just to see how my skin would react, and so far, everything feels fine with no redness or discomfort -- if in a couple days there's no ill effects, I'll step up in power. The unit feels solid, lightweight, and easy to handle. Assuming it continues to perform as well as it has on these first sessions, it seems like a good purchase and solid value overall. In case it helps, here is my 'manual' largely sourced from a variety of sources online: ---------------------------------------- AT-HOME IPL HAIR REMOVAL DEVICE – STANDARD INSTRUCTIONS & SAFETY GUIDE BEFORE YOU BEGIN 1. Check skin and hair suitability o Works best on light to medium skin tones (I–IV on the Fitzpatrick scale) and dark hair. o Avoid use on very dark skin, or on blonde, red, gray, or white hair — light won’t be absorbed effectively. 2. Patch test first o Choose a small area (inside of arm or leg). o Use the lowest setting. Wait 24–48 hours to check for irritation, redness, or blistering before treating larger areas. 3. Prepare the skin o Shave the treatment area first (don’t wax or pluck — the light targets hair roots). o Clean and dry the skin; avoid lotions, deodorant, and makeup. ________________________________________ USING THE DEVICE 1. Long Press the power button on the side to power on and choose your intensity level (it starts on the lowest…leave it there if you’re new). 2. Hold the device flat against the skin. Ensure full contact so the light can trigger. 3. Press the flash button for one pulse of light. Move to the next area without overlapping flashes. 4. Go slowly — one pass per session is enough.
