Nice wide smocked waistband and ample hip room as well! Fabric is not stretchy more like lien/rayon blend but the waistband is very stretchy. But the way these are sewn whichever size you wear you will find that there is plenty of wiggle room without being too baggy looking. Nice side pockets, and gathering at the ankles is loose enough that it’s not tight feeling! Size was true to size. I ordered my usual size and it was plenty big enough on my body. Very pretty patterns, flowy, draped with nice gathering at waist, especially liked the Peacock colored pants. Item arrived fast and I would not hesitate to purchase more colors. Do not put these in the dryer, after washing on gentle cycle hang to dry. Fabric isn’t see through but it feels kind of like cotton/linen bed sheet material. It will shrink if put in a dryer.

One of the very few items of clothing that exceeded my expectations. I am short and petite and the majority of my pant purchases get returned or are an almost not quite right compromise that I just have to settle for type purchase. These are a rare and most grateful for exception! They are flattering and oh so comfy! When I put them on I feel good about how I look... something many if us gals struggle to achieve. I can only speak to how well they work for my height weight and figure type. At 5'2 and struggling to reach 100 lbs they are a gem for hiding my self conscious too thin silhouette. At 65 I was worried they wouldn't look age appropriate... but that worry was not the case. They adapt to an extremely wide age appropriate range. They only complaint I might have is how easily they wrinkle... hoping with modern technology they can find a similar fabric not quite as wrinkle prone. However the wrinkles seem to fit right in with aging skin! In fact I like them so much I ordered 3 more in different colors, something I rarely ever do. This is an unpaid and unsolicited review and was not generated as part of any promo... its real its honest and its meant to inform potential buyers decisions based solely on my winderful experience!

I really love the overall design and fit. The only issue for me is the fabric isn't what I was expecting. I thought it would be soft but it feels cheap and itchy, especially on my ankles. Would be perfect with a nicer material. Otherwise it's cute and if you don't have sensory issues you'll probably love it! :)

EDIT: I ended up exchanging these because I was able to get a ride to do so, and I’m SO glad I did because the new size medium is exactly what I hoped for. They fit like a loose baggy harem pant should and I honestly probably wouldn’t have worn the small even though they fit because that elastic was irritating and I personally don’t feel that the small would fit the measurement stated because they don’t have that extra harem pant room and I can’t imagine these would really fit a person at the higher end of the measurements. And I’m petite and fall mid way of the small measurement range! So my advice is consider your measurements but also if you have any hesitation go a size up. I would normally never ever buy any pant in a small but I was well within the small range and I didn’t feel comfortable. Now with the medium I do and I LOVE THEM. Gorgeous, beautiful color, nice quality and I now will be buying more as I’m confident in size medium. I bumped my rating to 5 stars based on the new size medium but I still think those measurements don’t ensure proper fit. I'm so mad at myself that I went with the small I stead of medium. Too much trouble to exchange. I chose small because measurements are exact same to another pair of harem pants I have but they aren't even close. The waist is OK. I'd prefer it looser with sensitive skin. My biggest regret is that I won't be able to wear these absolutely GORGEOUS pants with leggings underneath like I do my others. So sad. Most gorgeous pants. Excellent in every way. Just do not go with the smaller size if you're hedging between sizes. Go with the large of the two. I'm really worried I won't be able to wear these much and I love them so. Wonderful quality. I could cry. They're really amazing. I should've known better and go with the medium especially since I like my clothes looser. I'm bummed. It's hard to buy online. Well, now I know. But these are stunning. But I do think the measurements suggest they fit bigger than they are which can cause to buy wrong size. Bottom line a small is for a SMALL as in size 4 US, in my opinion, for that loose baggy harem style.
