I also use the the laced Velcro design braces also. This style gives much better support. I would highly recommend. Very comfortable and pretty easy to put on and lace up. Not as quick as the Velcro style but better support.

I bought the size recommended for the size if my anjke but because of lymphodema my calf is large and I can not comfortabley lace it all the way up because the longue is not wide enough. It does still give good support

This ankle brace is easy to put on and tighten up. All the security of your ankle lies in the lace tightening. Once you have that down, you just need to stabilize with the metal plating that goes in each pocket on the sides. I got the size large and it fits just right on my size 8-9 wide foot and ankle. It was just a smidge small at the top, but easily still fit around my ankle. It is a snug fit and the laces and plates really do their job keeping you secure. The entire ankle brace is made out of canvas and it seems to be quite durable. I had no problems with ripping while I was using it with my running shoes. It was a tight fit in my first pair of shoes, so I tried another pair and it worked fine once I loosened all the laces. You have to make room for it, but once you do, you’re good to go. It’s a good brace for the price.

Since the socks can be placed either under or above the ankle strap, I suggest putting them under the ankle strap, as it seems more comfortable to wear them at the beginning when you are not used to it. I pair it with sports shoes. They fit very well and don't get in the way at all. The lacing design enables me to easily adjust the tightness of the shoelaces according to my own needs, ensuring that it provides sufficient support without making me feel too tight or uncomfortable. I suggest not making it too tight. When walking, you may, like me, feel strange at first, but then forget. Overall, both the price and the quality are very good. It can't relieve the pain, but it provides good support. Worth it.

It is true to size and it does give plenty of support. It justvdoes not fit into a shoe unless the shoe is 2 sizes larger than you need.

This brace is made of a heavy canvas material. Even without the plastic or metal stiffeners inserted it provides more support than some other ankle braces I've used. With the stiffeners in place it is VERY rigid. It is also bulky enough that you might not be able to get some shoes on. I think it's comfortable, but I'm not picky. To get it on and off I had to lace/unlace the top couple holes, so it's not quick to put on or take off. Overall a solid choice if you need a very supportive brace.
