I bought my mandoline at Williams-Sonoma store in an outlet mall. Difficult to use right from the start. Thought I was the problem, but after 4 years, new blades TWICE this is the last dinner I will EVER use this mandoline to prepare. Had to bang the push bar to cut sweet potato fries, and it was still difficult. I replaced the blade just a few months ago, so I don't think they should be dull so soon. I removed them from the mandoline EVERY time, washed and dried by hand. Thought I needed a mandoline to prepare equally sized pieces, but it never did that. Frequently the first half inch would just break off before the rest was cut. I can make large fries small pieces, so I think that I will go back to hand cutting and put this in a charity bin ... show more
