  • Easily adjust flow
I highly recommend these water emitters. I had drip emmitters and they were not putting out enough water for my plants and the cycle was taking way too long. With these just twist the red top, and a nice little spider of water comes out in all directions. You can adjust for the needs of each plant by putting one underneath of each of your shrubs. I just pulled off the drip emitters and pushed these into the black plastic tube ends. I will say that might be very difficult depending on what kind of tubing you have, so be ready to have someone strong help you if your tubing is stiff. But that has nothing to do with these wonderful emitters. ... show more

  • Only one piece to install + adjustability makes it a winner.
I just installed these on my balcony container garden and would probably give it a six-star review in comparison to others I've used over the years. Two key advantages: (1) only one part per spigot; and (2) adjustability. (1) One Part Only. My old system (two different brands over ~12 years) was ridiculous in retrospect requiring a piece of tubing to the water source mounted to the flow restrictor, then mounting another piece of tubing on the other side of the flow restrictor, then a spigot protector thingie on the end, and finally an awkward clip-on spike to keep in in place. These ones require you to simply plug the emitter into the tubing, shove it into the ground, and boom you're done. (2) Adjustability. My small container garden has a lot of separate emitters on a single, branched water supply. Different heights, tubing lengths, distance from water source, number of spigots on each chain = massively-varying water pressure across the system. Other systems require you to choose between different but fixed gpm emitters. If one area has too much or too little water, your only option then is to either cut out the emitter and replace, or splice in an extra emitter. For these La Farah emitters, you just do a simple twist to get the right flow. Tips for setup: get your whole chain of tubing and emitters set up and mounted into your garden as you want them set up, then turn on the water supply. Although the sprinkler umbrella pattern looks great, you want to focus on getting the right amount of water to your plants. I use a flow reducer to 25psi to reduce strain on tubing and reduce risk of water hammer and blowout. Starting near the water source, adjust the hard-spraying ones back by twisting until you're getting decent flow at the far end. Pressure drops the further you are from the source and the more emitters on the chain, so if you have the emitters wide open at the beginning, there won't be much pressure left for the plants at the far end. Just one minor caveat: if you have stiff 1/4" tubing, the barb is a bit tough to get on and your hands will tire out. If your tubing is softer/more flexible, it will be a piece of cake. The good news is that it's never going to fall off once it's on. Tip: you can stretch the opening a bit by shoving the spiked bottom of the spigot into the tubing before putting the barb in the tubing. If you have the patience, dipping in hot water or doing in full, hot sun will soften the tubing, making it easier. ... show more

  • Don't adjust very well at low flow volumes
I like the La Farah emitters, and the click-stop (for lack of a better term) adjustment is brilliant, but it doesn't function when attempting to adjust them to low flow rates. When trying to adjust the emitter to a low flow rate, they jump from "low-moderate" to "none", and you can spend quite a while trying to adjust them to your desired flow rate. The other thing about these emitters that might be considered so-so, depending on your application, is the spray pattern. They decidedly apply water in "stripes" like the spokes of a wagon wheel, and if you want or need more even coverage, you are better off with microsprays. Don't get me wrong, these are decent emitters - for the right application. ... show more

  • Great price and flow!
So far, these things have been great! I really like the flow being adjustable and being able to put out a lot more than traditional emitters. We also love the stakes built into them and the fact that a lot of the big box stores carry pass through ones, which we didn't want, especially when extending to a fabric pot or single plant. With the flow, these are easily connected to a manifold and helpful in evenly watering our raised beds. I'm actually on here to buy another pack for our raised beds as we are running out! ... show more

  • Good product
I've been using these throughout my garden and they perform quite well - even flow, wide pattern, good degree of adjustability. My one quibble is that the barb is a tiny bit bigger than some others, which means you need to use a fair bit of force to slip on certain brands of tubing (not all). It's a minor issue, and I guess the up side is that the tubing will NOT come off! ... show more
