Professional Waffle Results
This was the kind of Waffle making machine I was hoping for. We particularly like the ceramic coated griddles, you don't have to use any suspicious sprays or other coatings to keep it from sticking - the bane of the traditional waffle maker. The plates easily remove. The only improvement would be the addition of a sound to signal when the READY lite is lit so you don't have to watch it so closely. The drip tray is handy.

Good product
Pros: Cuts waffle making time. Easy to use. Easy clean up. Non toxic which is a big plus. Cooks perfectly. Fast cooking in a few minutes for each waffle. Cons: heavy and a bit bulky. I would recommend purchasing this product.

Great nonstick, removable waffle iron
Happy to find a nonstick (but less unhealthy) waffle iron. I've used it twice and have had even cooking and found the temp dial to work sufficiently well. Requiring removable plates for cleanup (lesson learned in the past) severely limits the options but cleanup is a breeze workout worry of damaging the appliance.

A pathetic replacement from a company that used to sell a good waffle maker.
I've had a KRUPS waffle maker for 10 years, and it finally had such major sticking problems that I retired it. I paid lots more for the new KRUPS, especially wanting the ability to remove and soak/wash the grids. What a horrible contrast between the two products from the same company. The new one is mostly plastic, the old one metal. The new one is started by plugging in an anemic power cord; the old one had a heavy guage cord and a SWITCH. The new one implies that it heats up quickly, but the batter rises poorly because the heat is insufficient. I put the heat setting (the old one had lots of settings) all the way up AND added 50% to the cooking time. The waffles were soggy and light brown. I put them back for several more minutes; a little improvement, but hardly appetizing. This machine has one virtue - the removable grids, so I'll keep it and hope I can make an acceptable waffle with it by doubling the cooking time. RIght now it's ruined my Sunday breakfast. By the way, I see that almost all the 'happy' reviews are by people WHO GOT THIS PRODUCT FREE!! I PAID FOR MINE.

nice waffles
good waffler. i really like the temp control to make lighter or darker waffles. use only pure maple syrup to not ruin your hard work. no yukky fake syrup. cleanup is simple and easy.

Underpowered
Despite its fairly high wattage, this iron consistently undercooked even at the highest setting. Waffles were well formed but pale. The removable plates are handy, though cleaning is not hard on a waffle maker in the first place. The main iron feels solid, but the rest of the build (cradle and drip tray) are plastic and flimsy.

Good waffles, although slower, larger than other machines.
Easy to use, the darkness adjustment feature does not seem to make much difference. I like the flip feature. Waffles cooked and crisp exterior nicely. The drip tray and removable waffle plates was the selling point for me. Very convenient. Takes a little more time to cook than my old waffles. It’s quite large and not as easy to store because of that flip feature though. I’ve only used it once, still pending my final judgement.
