We've had this over 2 years now. The pros: 1. Assembly was really easy. First manual I've ever had that spoke plain English. It even went so far as to tell you when to hand-tighten certain bolts, then later told you when to go back and tighten them. 2. It's a beautiful pit at night when it's lit. I've always wanted a linear fire pit and visually this one doesn't disappoint. For me though, it's not as warm as smaller square fire pits we've owned. That could be because you're never really all that close to this one like you are with the more intimate square fire pits that tend to run you under $300. The cons: 1. It won't stay beautiful for long. This thing stains really easily. We had some work done at the house so we had to move the pit out onto the back yard. We covered it to protect it. Months later when we went back to uncover it there were dark discolorations all over the top. Keep in mind it's been covered the whole time. Over the next year or so it would get stains from just having drinking glasses sitting on it. It cleans up ok but the stains are definitely obvious. 2. At the time of purchase it was October and Fall was coming. Right now as I'm typing this, it's October. We paid over $500 for this pit. It's listed for under $400 right now. I get it. It's listed for Everything costs more in the peak season. But this is not the first fire pit we've owned, so trust me when I tell you that nothing about this pit makes it worth $500 vs others we've owned. It's linear instead of the smaller square fire pits, and it's nice looking. But it's the same relatively cheap thin metal and the same starter that hardly works for anyone. We still use it, it still works. But in hindsight with all the staining, the typical problems you always have getting the auto-ignition to light things like this, and the inflated price we paid, we feel a bit taken now. The first fire pit we bought was a little 30 inch square model that had tiles on top. We rode that thing till the wheels fell off, then gave it to some relatives who are STILL using it. It was under $250 in the peak season and it never got a single stain, even though we used it like a cocktail table as much as a fire pit. 3. It has a guarantee, but you'll never be able to use it. We would have sent it back for the staining, but there's a neat little clause in the guarantee that says you have to return it in the original packaging. That entire fire pit came in a box that was maybe 3-4 inches thick. You'll NEVER get it back in that box once you take it out. I'd rather a company not offer a guarantee at all than to offer one they KNOW most people won't ever take advantage of. So there it is. Summitted in the interest of balance, and because you almost never see a review from someone that's actually had the product more than a few days. ... show more

I assemble the table by myself in about 30 minutes not hard at all. It came in 3 boxes one being just the glass rocks. It does not come with a propane tank and I don’t believe the product description indicated that. I love the pull out tank drawer, very sturdy with a single guild wheel to keep it in contact with the floor. The product was damage free. The glass wind block has very think glass. The product arrived in three boxes and was well packaged for protection from shipping damage, there was none. The assembly was very straight forward and all of the pieces lined up. The pullout for accessing the tank (not inluded) storage operates smoothly so that turning the gas on and off and checking the fuel level (guage not included) is easily accomplished. The fire puts out a decent amount of heat, especially without the windshield in place, that provides comfort when seated. After reading and watching many reviews of this and similar products we chose this one for our backyard patio gazebo based on price, durability of materials and overall functionality and aesthetics. For us, the closest runner up was same design but with an glass table top around the actual firepit component and the cost was nearly 2x. The glass table top looks nice but might be a challenge to keep clean and not get scratched. We went with this product with an aluminum table top and so far we are very pleased with it. One note is that inorder to put the supplied weather cover on, the glass windshield needs to be removed (it just lifts off) and stored separately.     • Be careful of the finish

Item works great but the finish can be damaged, I placed a cork bottom coaster on the metal part that covers the burners and it etched into the finish. I tried mild abrasives like tooth pasted and the mild auto rubbing compound but cant get it off. I'm waiting for customer service to get me a price to replace it. ... show more
