I used this to replace a similar model and it was very easy to do. The instructions are clear and it took me about 15 minutes to replace on my Toto toilet. Note that this is the 528GT model. I bought it because it has an additional valve to control the water flow and I thought that would be good. In fact, it really does nothing and I just took it off to make things more simple. I suppose you would use this (I suppose because I'm not a plumber or a mechanical engineer) if your water flow into the toilet is too strong and you need to cut down the rate of flow. Otherwise, you'll just leave the valve fully open and it serves no purpose other than to be something that could cause a problem. If your water pressure is not too high, save yourself some money and buy the 528T model. This is not the first Korky product that I have bought and they produce good products. I am very satisfied with this unit as I have been with the other products from them. And, btw the unit I replaced was also a Korky but it failed due to human (this human) error. It would probably have remained in place for the next 10 years if I hadn't tried to adjust it incorrectly.

The Korky 528 series is a great toilet fill valve kit in general. They are quiet, compact, and easy to install. Unlike the F-brand installed in most American toilets, it looks really clean without all the arms and buoy sticking out of it. The regular (white) 528 would be enough for most toilets, but if you need control of how much the bowl refills, you'll want to upgrade to the premium (silver) 528MP for a few more bucks. The 528MP comes with a bowl fill adjuster/restrictor that will allow you to dial-in the water height for the bowl. If you must keep the "Genuine TOTO" look of the tank with the blue cap, you will want to upgrade to the 528T, 528GT respectively. The 528GT comes with an adjustment tool that helps you adjust the restrictor without trial & error, but the different water pressure in every house never guarantees a perfect fill without trial & error. A warning for homes with "good" water pressure. The 528MP and 528GT may squeal worse than the old valve... DON'T CUT THE FILLER HOSE UNTIL THOROUGHLY TESTED. The 528 series QuietFill valve has a lighter rubber valve than the F-brand or the bigger older TOTO fillers. At high pressure, the valve may close and open abruptly with a high pitch sound. Any kink or back pressure on the bowl filler hose will also make the valve squeal. If opening and closing the restrictor affects the squealing remove the restrictor and see if that solves the problem. If that doesn't help or it messes up the bowl fill rate too much, close the supply valve gradually and lower the water pressure until the valve doesn't squeal any more.

My old fill valve I bought at Home Depot was on its last legs and it wouldn't stop, even though the tank was full. So I bought this after reading some reviews and I am not disappointed. It's easy to adjust the depth to fit most tanks. The only problem I had was in removing the old one, which the plumber had tightened ridiculously hard. Installation was easy and it works perfectly. The only thing is that for different tanks, you will probably have to trim the tube that attaches to the fill valve. I would recommend going on YouTube and checking videos on how to replace fill valves. Most of them install in a very similar manner and be careful to shut off the water supply to the tank and in how to unscrew the tightener underneath the tank to remove the old fill valve as you might turn it the wrong way and tighten, rather than loosen, it.

This is the holy grail of the Fill Valve, and it fits all our Toto toilets at home (Ultramax II and Drake) and installation is a breeze with all hand tighten parts and no tools required (maybe a scissor to cut the fill tube). The 528GT adjustable fill valve is awesome to precisely control the fill speed of the toilet bowl. The install instructions provided is easy to understand, and there are parts to fit different types of water pipes. It's even got temper-resistant clips for property owners to install to prevent renters from tempering the toilet fill valve. This is a genuine Toto OEM replacement part (made by Kroky) and it fixed the leaking valve in our older toto fill valves.

After flushing the toilet, the water intake control valve would not shut off. The tank would fill but the water kept running until I would take the tank top off and run my finger along a slit on the side of the valve, which would make it shut off. I ordered this replacement valve after reading the positive reviews. The instructions were quite clear and easy to follow. Several helpful how-to videos online; the one with the intrusive cat was especially helpful(!) The hardest part was backing off the nut that secured the old valve to the tank. After that it was a piece of cake. New valve went in in a matter of minutes and now toilet shuts off perfectly after each flush. Really very simple, and works like a champ. No need to be anxious about performing this repair.

The product was a little fiddly to install, mostly because the bowl sits in a small alcove. That would be true of any work being done so that's not on Korky. This review is on the Korky, Blue 528GT Universal Fill Valve for Toto Toilets, Single Unit. After 15 months, the valve is working very well. It's easy to flush, turns off the water fine. No leaks or issues. I noted my other Toto is, by comparison, much harder to flush. I'm going to buy another of the same valve to place in the other Toto. For more helpful information, look for and read the "Most Helpful Review". The person gives a pretty good breakdown of why some folks might have problems with a new valve. My experience has been very positive. We're not suffering from the flapper not closing properly causing the water to run unchecked, as we were previously, it's easy to flush and much quieter than the Toto original. Overall, 5 stars so far.

Korky has an excellent video for installation of this product - "You.." know where to look. The 528GT is an enhanced version of the common 528 for Toto toilets, that offers a control valve to vary the relative flow to the tank and the bowl so the bowl is properly filled when the tank reaches full and the fill valve shuts off. A special tool that's included helps set it properly for your Toto model. Installation was easy; it functions well.
