This is not a complete kit. You will need to reuse some of the old parts. The rod was too long so I used the old one. The valve is about 2-3 inches shorter in height than my original. It is not adjustable. This kit does not include a drain tube so I reused the old one. Once placed in the tank I saw that there would be problems getting things to fit and clear one another. I ended up having to bend the original ball rod in a serpentine shape to get the ball high enough compensating for the shorter valve height. Also needed to bend it to clear the drain tube. I got it in 4 bends. I was amazed and so lucky. It fits and works good. No leaks. No air release or phantom flushing. I was afraid I would need to buy a non-ball cock style to find something adjustable in height. Also recommend looking for video on YT, much easier observing it installed. Update 07/28/26 Now 4 years since purchased. I received an alert of a potential leak from the water company. Tracked it down to the toilet. There was a subtle dribble of water continuously flowing into the bowl but no other signs like no ghost flushing. It was silent without any water flow related to flushing. After some research online I examined the flapper. It is black rubber. Upon touching it I had black residue all over my fingers. The rubber had deteriorated. I replaced the flapper with a different brand. This did not stop the dribble. Currently I have the Shut-off valve OFF in between flushes. The mechanism has flushed reliably during the past 4 years. I read that these parts usually wear out within 5 years. I am replacing this kit with a new kit (same product) but using the other brand of flapper. Will update when I know whether this resolved the leak. ... show more

I really wanted to like this kit. While it was easy to install, it’s not effective, it makes my toilet leak slightly and it’s breaking and not so sturdy. 4 out of 10, do not recommend!

Edit: Changing my review to 1 star. The fill valve continues to release water. Doesn't stop even when the water is set to stop below the fill valve dome. It has started to fill really slowly now and the wall valve is wide open. Don't buy this product unless you like wasting money. This fill valve is too short and you can't adjust it to make it longer. It does seal well to the tank however. I installed it in a few minutes. Really easy to replace, but because it is too short, the overflow hose is crinked because it has to go up then down into the overflow tube. For me, it'll work for now to fix the water hammer sound from the old fill valve. Idk if a crinked overflow hose is a problem for it or not. I did notice that if I let the water fill above the dome of the fill valve, the water will continue to fill the tank, which is why the water level is at the top of the overflow tube in the picture. I just figured that out a few mins ago because I heard water running. In other words, because it's too short, I'm not able to have the same amount of water in my tank as I had before. This could cause issues flushing everything down the drain or maybe I'll save a few gallons if water over the year. Time will tell. I may have to go pick out a taller fill valve. ... show more

First off, the durability really stands out. After installing it, I noticed a huge improvement in how my toilet functions.
