Blows air, perfect. When it's in the rotation mode, it makes some occassional noise moving side to side but otherwise has been running fine non-stop for weeks to move some air in my upstairs living room.

I bought this to use in my bedroom to help circulate the AC and even without the AC. I love the fact that when you turn it off the unit remembers the settings (oscillation, speed, etc) and you don’t have to redo those. I also like how it doesn’t have any lights that stay on so when the room is dark there’s nothing keeping you awake. It definitely cools the room well, I haven’t had the opportunity to use it on its own yet but I can tell the way this works it will be great for the early/late summer when you don’t need AC every night. The tower fan is great. I decided to upgrade from the tradition standing fan. So glad I did! Love the night mode option to use while you are sleeping. If I wake up hot in the middle of the night I use the remote to turn it higher. Love that I don't need to get out of bed to change the speed.
