I use this fan on my desk primarily to cool off after exercising and showering when my body is still cooling down. It helps me cool off quickly so my clothes don't get sweaty. For the price, it's a solid little fan. It has three speed settings. The first speed is relatively quiet and is the one I use most often. Occasionally I'll use the second speed, although it is noticeably louder. The third speed sounds like a small jet taking off, but it definitely moves a lot of air. For my needs, I rarely have a reason to use the highest setting.
