It does not take up too much desk space and the angled USB cord is very nice. The LEDs are visible but not overly bright. It is made of plastic of a reasonable quality for the price. I was previously using the cheapest USB fan I could get my hands on. You can find it here for around $8.99. Don't buy that. Buy this instead. The other one was fine until I got some open back headphones when the spinning noise and buzz became obnoxious. This Koonie, on the other hand, blows harder and is way, way, way more quiet. Love this thing. Nice, quiet and lightweight. I take it with me for work and plug it into my laptop or a small battery bank. 3 speeds - it’s not really delivering hurricane force wind but for a desktop fan, perfect. Would work for camping but you need to bring power.

The Koonie USB Fan has taken what should be a straight-forward, simple thing and...KEPT IT THAT WAY! It's absolutely elegant in its simplicity and job-effectiveness. You take it out of the box, connect the USB power cord, press the button once for low, again for medium, and a 3rd press for high. It's a convenient shape for a office desk and it's quiet with versatile fan speeds. The only inconvenient part about it is where the USB cord has to plug in to power the fan. It gets in the way if you want to tilt it upwards to your face.

This is a nice fan. Small, convenient and quite powerful. Perfect for smaller or tighter work spaces (or large for that matter, the air will be felt from a long distance). It's lightweight and has separate LED's indicating the fan speed. I'm happy with the purchase and it's value. I do disagree with the ultra quiet part. Low speed, yes, pretty silent. Medium and high speed, much more noise. It's not distracting or annoying and you should be able to tune it out easily enough if you're not trying to pay attention to it. I do forget the fan is there sometimes noise-wise, but definitely remember (and thankful for) it being there because of its power. The air is strong and constant which is what you want from a fan. I would buy again or even a second one if needed. It's a motor and a fan, of course it can't be completely silent. But it's quiet enough for everyday office and other use. ... show more
