This little freezer does a very good job at achieving low temperatures. At the max setting of 6 it maintains temps of -10 to -14 deg. F. At the recommended setting of 4 it keeps the temp at -2 t0 -4 deg F, just what's needed for a home freezer. I wanted a small upright freezer to augment the freezer in my refrigerator. I don't like chest type freezers because it's too hard to find things in them. The only thing I don't care for is that the shelves are not made to keep things directly on the shelves as in a standard home refrigerator. Instead each shelf has a basket to pull out and load or unload. I would prefer standard shelves for easier access. ... show more

This freezer is a bit on the small side in the inside given its outer dimensions. I have an identically sized freezer on the outside with probably 15% greater interior, so that's disappointing. The interior baskets are a nice feature, making it easy to find bags of beans, berries, etc. The only dumb thing about the function is the placement of the thermostat dial in the very back bottom of the machine, meaning you have to get down on hands and knees, after pulling out the freezer from its position, get a flashlight, and crane your neck/arms to see what the setting is or change it. I've been using this freezer about 2 months now. Very little frost has developed. It has 3 pull out baskets. My items do not get "lost" in the back. I bought this for meat storage and so far I have not had any freezer burn as I get with the freezer on my frost free refrigerator. One negative is that the controls are on the back. This freezer is working great. I've had it about 2 months and no problems. It's light (empty) and for what I'm using it for it is perfect. I bought it as an addition to my current small frig/freezer in my 5th wheel. It doesn't take up a ton of space but has plenty of room for my additional frozen items. I set it at max freeze and it is in the -10 to -15 degree range. It is very quiet. I also like the very light swish sound it gives out when you close the door. It actually sounds like it is sucking air out of the freezer. Very solid well made door. I can't say much about energy efficiency per say as I haven't noticed much increase in my electric bill. But I have quite a few electric leaches in my trailer. (TV's heaters, washer/dryer stereo etc. It doesn't seem to run very long when it does turn on. ... show more

Due to some problems with the shipping company this was not a great experience. However the company took care of the issue. I will not give them a bad review because it’s not their fault. The freezer itself seems to be a good quality. Since it was damaged I’m not sure I can, much more other than it was more spacious than I would’ve thought for a 3.1 ft.³ freezer. I would encourage you to order if you need one. If you have a problem with the shipping company they will take care of you. ... show more
