  • Amazing kit!
Cannot recommend this hardware kit highly enough!!! Amazing quality and super simple to build if you have even a moderate level of experience. I’d recommend picking up a miter / chop saw (instructions use a circular saw, which would definitely do the trick, but a chop saw will get it done in a fraction of the time.) Love that it’s modular / expandable, and that you have multiple configurations to choose from. I lucked out and found the matching slides for sale used locally, so all total including lumber, this kit, and the slides, I was at around $500. Added bucket swings for my 2 year old as well as the longer ladder grab handles. They LOVE it. Support is amazing (replies almost instantly and sent me some missing slide brackets for free, even though I didn’t buy the slides from them. To be clear, every part in the kit was there. Love love love. Thank you!! ... show more

  • Excellent swingset
Excellent swing set kit. Took about 2 days to build with a 11 year old boy as my helper. To but all the lumber expect to spend about $400.it is very sturdy and heavey. I made a few modifications to the set myself thinking it would be better. I also purchased another swing and a monkey bar and cool wave slide. The swings I purchased separately did not come with the hangers so you will have to order the hangers separately. The slide installed with no troubles. All in all I am very pleased with the swing set and my kids were totally pumped about it. The delivery time was super fast for all the items. ... show more

  • Kids love it, Two person assemble, Rise in wood cost
My husband and I finally got around to putting the set together and we are not all that handy. Bought for our 6yr and 3yr olds been up for a week and is in constant use. Noticed structure creaks when swings are in use. Could not attach the 4 rock wall knobs (need longer hex bolt + T nuts). We did have some other issues with the hardware such as the bolts for the swings and Hex-bolt and T-Nut for 'A' Frame attachments to the 6inx4inx144 beam seemed to not fit together. Easy trip to Home depot for a longer bolt and nut. We still have a few finishing touches to add such as handles and another rock was vs the pricey slide. The instructions were easy to understand and it breaks down exactly what is needed prior to assembly. We would definitely recommend a 2person team to assemble the first 20steps and extra 1lb box of #8- 2 1/2inch screws. It was mentioned in an earlier post the wood cost is around 500-600$ additionally however, wood costs plus delivery we spent 970$ for Ground Contact pressure treated wood from home depot to include an extra 2x4x120, 2-5/4×6x144 just incase the wood was too warped or knoby(rise in wood costs). We inspected, cut, measured and labeled all our wood which helped when it came time to assemble. Recommend a 2ft & 6inch level and because we have a young one when it came time to assemble the rock wall we spaced the wood out so instead of using 11 we used 8 boards to build the rock wall so he can still climb up using the wood as a foot hold. Additionally ordered a rope swing, a pirate wheel rock climbing rope and they love. ... show more

  • Holding up well after 4 winters. Excellent kit.
This is a really good kit. My 3 kids love playing on it. I had the deck rebuilt on my house in 2012, and just paid the builder to put this together. It took him and his son two days. I think if I had done it with a neighbor it would be 2 weekends. The plans were very complete. It is really sturdy and all the materials are holding up well after the Michigan winters. We had a smaller fort/swingset previously, but after 6 years the wood had cracked enough to make it unsafe. One of the best aspects of this kit is that it is completely modifiable unlike the full swing sets that are simply assembled. I made a list of options that I wanted on a fort, and felt that this kit gave me the best structural layout. My kids swing set is stand alone (does not attach to the fort) and has 3 swings and one two person glider (I used an extra long beam). The fort has two slides: one on the 4 ft platform that is straight, and one on the five foot platform that is twisty (bought from Amazon, too). The backside has a rock wall, and the front side has a 7 ft Monkey Bar. Consider upgrading some of the components. I upgraded the swings because they were not great and somewhat uncomfortable. And at the time it was built, I ordered extra swing brackets, A frame braces (for two sides), extra handles, more wall rocks, monkey bars, slides, and a telescope and steering wheel. The tarp ripped this winter so I need to replace. I was on Amazon right now shopping to buy that and to add trapeze bars and a rope ladder. ... show more

  • Great kit!
Don't even get me started on the people who thought they were buying a huge swing set like this for under $200!!! Anyway, we're very pleased with this purchase. After researching like crazy I realized the swing sets in the $300-$600 range were garbage...soft wood that wouldn't hold adults. I knew the first thing my 5 yo would say was, "come swing with me" or "come up in my fort". What a letdown it would've been to say, "sorry buddy, you have to play on it yourself!" We built the 512 model and love it. I also purchased a heavy duty swing that holds over 500 pounds so anyone can swing next to him. The 4x6x10 holds just fine and the a frame bracket at the end does it's job. REALLY love the bracket system for the 4X4's...so quick. There were a few of us putting it together and after cutting all the lumber to size it took most of the day. Instructions were spot on 95% of the time with only a couple, "well that's stupid" or "wait...what???" moments. We've had 4 large adults and 1 kid up in the fort without any stress. If you buy some quality lumber then this thing is heavy duty. Tips: Have a corded drill to go with a couple cordless drills Mark the measurement with a grease pencil on every piece you cut an the stack them accordingly (20" pile, 30" pile, 40", etc.). Makes it easy to say, "go grab 4 58" 2x4's from the 50" pile" to your helper. We only put two swing between the set and A Frame. Three would be way too close! We then installed another swing on the outside portion. Get some quality star bit screws. ... show more
