Got this for my wife to be able to convinently fill frames. As some reviewers have stated, it isn't as cheap as printing at the drug store, but way more convenient. Yes, you can use non Kodak paper if you have a extra ink and it turns out just as well. (I used Cannon Glossy II and got an extra 4 prints from the first 19 print demo cartridge). I just received this printer yesterday, the only thing you need to do is download the app Kodak printer doc from the Apple store, after that turn on your Kodak printer doc, next place your iPhone on the place where it goes on your kodak, next go to settings, find your WiFi, your Kodak printer doc is going to pop up on other device, choose that, it’s coming a password, the Kodak printer doc comes with the instructions boocklet, you will find your password there, I don’t know if is the password for all the Kodak printer doc same, but you look for your password enter it and done. Now choose gallery is going to ask permission to access your phone photo you choose yes, and you can access your pictures and choose the one you want to print, now my WiFi is slow so it takes long time to download the pictures but is not the printer is the WiFi, other thing I print pictures from my iPhone the pictures and quality are perfect but I print pictures from a cheap phone, of course the pictures is low quality, but is not the Kodak printer doc is the phones and the phones camara quality. What I want to say Kodak printer doc, is a very good product, is the phone cameras you use. Oh and when printer has 4 steps until the pictures is printed don’t panic if you se the yellow color is not done the printer will release the picture when is finished printer ... show more

I bought 4 of these for Christmas gifts and they were a hit!! Everyone loved them and the picture quality is great! It was so neat to watch it print out vibrant colors and fast, I couldn’t think of a better little printer and honestly I’m bummed I didn’t buy myself one! My Birthday is soon so maybe someone will get it for me😊 I would highly recommend this and if you’re thinking of buying it as a gift make sure to buy yourself one!!!! ... show more

Looking for a way to print from my iPhone 13 and this seems to fit the bill. I wish that this came with better instructions for use as other reviewers have stated. Setup was a struggle until I figured out you had to use bluetooth to start the firmware update. I was hoping for dock and print simplicity. At least for my phone, the print button on the dock didn't work at all, so had to use the button in the app. Works well with bluetooth, but appears to be the only way to get it to work. Print quality is pretty quick and makes good copies. No info available on how to use advanced editing features such as collage or templates, so will have to keep trying until I figure it out. Mainly bought as a basic printer anyway, and it does that job well once you figure out the idiosyncrasies. ... show more

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my mom. She loves to have “real photos” to hold & share, and this was meant to be a quick, easy way for everyone to print photos off their phone for her during the holidays and visits. IT WAS A COMPLETE FAILURE. After setting it up, and downloading the app to her phone, we selected a picture to print. The printer failed just as other reviewers have noted (and I should have listened to, instead of thinking “I’m sure that won’t happen to me!”). The first print was a mess- color was drastically off and out of register. Thought (hoped) maybe it just needed to run out a print first to get set. Nope. Second print came out worse... and then the blue film started spitting out of the front of the printer (see pic). Disappointing and embarrassing (“hope you like your gift, mom!”). Although my wife and I had also bought extra cartridge/paper refills, I didn’t try another cartridge- at $20 each, I saw no sense “throwing good money after bad”. If this happened on first use for me, I expect it would certainly happen again, and my mother would have a mess she wouldn’t know how to fix. Even if it were to turn out to be an intermittent problem, it would require time & frustration clearing the machine and another complete $20+ cartridge... Every. Time. That’d add up quick. Though I really loved the idea of it, in reality it’s an utterly flawed product. Returned. Do yourself a favor: listen to the bad reviews, and look for a different solution to your needs. ... show more

Got this for my granddaughter as a christmas present. She put it aside and left it for a while. Till we went to the zoo and wanted to get some pictures off her phone. Set it up and it was super easy to use and the prints came out great. You don’t get much film but it is easy to come by and the quality is the same as what comes with the printer. Works off a computer also. Even used it on the MAC and a Windows 10 PC. Going to try it off a profession camera next. Have to wait cause we are out of paper again. She likes it now and not happy that everyone is borrowing it and not returning it. Hmmm.... May have to get another or two. ... show more

My wife had been using her main printer to print numerous pictures, which we all know, uses a lot of ink. Expensive Ink. She needed something better. Research begins. I looked at all the options we had and balanced it against what we needed. After reading many reviews, I decided to purchase this Kodak unit. When it arrived she set it up and was printing in very short order. It is interesting to watch it do its thing as it prints each color individually. I was worried that it may miss a boundary or overlap but it doesn't. The quality is what I would expect of having my prints done at a store. It takes about a minute to print each picture. The cost works out to about $.50 - .55 a print. That depends upon where you source the ink/paper packs. The print kit comes with 40 sheets and one cartridge. That's it. 40 prints per cartridge. For its size, I am good with that. There are multi packs available as well. Though a little on the noisy side, (not so noisy you can't hear your self think or carry on a normal level of conversation) it is well worth the money. And it is completely portable!! Your phone or device hooks right to it! If you decide to take the leap, you will not be sorry you did! ... show more

The prints are a little slow, but for a four process print, it is worth the result. The pictures look great and seem super durable. Good gloss, good color, good density. Good prints all the way around. The better the source material, the better the image obviously, but the cropping of the image using the software is a bit annoying. Very hard to just pick the area you want to print and make it fill edge to edge. But it works great. Use big format images, and buy a paper shear for trimming. ... show more
