    • Extremely Comfortable Mattress
I got this new one to replace a 7-inch memory foam mattress that does not have inner-spring coils or any such thing for extra support. It's many years old and had definitely started to show it's age with odd lumps. We're definitely sleeping better now! My back, neck, and hips are loving the extra support at night. We opened it in the morning, allowed it to off-gas & breathe until bed time then added our sheets. It's recommended you let it air out longer but we needed to get it on the bed and out of the way. The memory foam and extra gel layer are great. I added another mattress protector on top of the one this comes with and it fit fine. I learned the hard way having kids you can never be too careful. It's important to note if your bed frame does not have a solid board base you'll want to have something there to support the mattress. It's not absolutely necessary but memory foam can push through bars over time with enough pressure making it uncomfortable. For a child or small teen it probably won't matter but being two grown adults we definitely found over time having some support there makes a difference on how well the mattress performs over time. This arrives in a large box rolled up, it did take two of us to unbox it and roll out so it could start to decompress. It wasn't difficult to do. One person could likely do it themselves. Be careful if you are using a box cutter because the mattress is packed in very tightly and there is no room between the box and it. The smell was a tad stronger than I expected. I could smell it faintly the first night but again, we did not give the full 24 hours as we had limited time for us to set this up. We're busy and sometimes don't have a ton of time for projects.     • Took ages to arrive but worth the wait!
It took a few weeks to arrive but it's also pretty heavy so it wasn't a huge deal. I got this to replace my 6+ year old Ikea mattress that has outlived its usefulness, and also because I need more support for my back while I sleep. This mattress didn't take too long to reinflate to its full size (I opened it up in the morning and it was ready by bedtime, and I was really impressed with the support and comfort it provides! I wanted to give it a few days to really get a feel for it and my back was a little sore after the first night but I think my body was adjusting to having actual support again, and it hasn't hurt since, which is wonderful considering I was having a lot of backaches before. I haven't had trouble falling asleep on this, and it fits my bed perfectly which is really nice. Weโ€™ve needed a new bed in our guest room to replace an old sofa bed thats long past itโ€™s prime, so I put this on a cheap platform and itโ€™s SO comfortable! I took a nap in there last weekend to see if it held up when actually slept on and woke up with no back pain, which is a new thing for me! The bed is definitely on the softer side of you like more of a firm side this might not be it for you. It comes compacted so you have to let it sit for 24 hrs to reach its potential.

My husband and I love this bed. We are not skinny people. It holds up amazingly! I sleep mostly on my side, he sleeps mostly on his back. It is comfortable for both, side and back. No smell! I opened it and placed it flat so it could expand. It expanded quickly. I was having severe back and neck pain. After switching, no pain! It is extremely supportive, yet soft, and comfortable.
