These look great, and are certainly affordable. However, like others have said, the anti-rust coating will come off. Only one or two of the most-used knives, the steak knives, have had some of the coating scratched off, though none in food. We do machine wash them though, and it does say that hand-washing is recommended for longevity. With that said, the sharpener will definitely help scratch that off, too, but I still appreciate it being included. And the scissors are fantastic! I still recommend them though, just be aware that it will come off. Otherwise, it hasn't come off a lot despite a few months' use, so I can't complain for the price, and the handles will stay clean (not wooden) and they and the block will hold up well otherwise.

I’m absolutely delighted with this XANAPON 14-Piece Knife Set! After using it for a few weeks, I’m thrilled with the performance, build, and overall value. Here’s what really stood out: What I love: The blades are very sharp out of the box — the “precision laser” angle marketing really seems accurate. It makes slicing, dicing, and prepping produce much faster and cleaner than my old set. The high-carbon German stainless steel feels robust, and the handles offer a secure, comfortable grip. The full-tang construction and one-piece design give a reassuring sturdiness. The set is super complete: it includes the chef’s knife, bread knife, slicing knife, utility knife, paring knife, six steak knives, kitchen shears, sharpening rod AND a 14-slot hardwood block with non-slip feet. Very thoughtful. Dishwasher safe? Yes indeed (though I still hand-wash for best edge longevity) and easy to store in the block, which keeps my kitchen counters looking clean and organized.
