I needed a universal garage door opener that was compatible with my old 12-Pin garage door. Figured this would be a good choice based on some good reviews. I was wrong. First, the garage door openers (I purcahses the two-pack) came in just a plastic bag; no packaging, no instruction manual, nothing. Seemed like they had been returned. Second, I had to search online to figure out how to program them for a 12-pin garage door. Once I found some instructions that seemed to work for this particular garage door opener, It would only allow me to program one door for both buttons, not two as advertised. I dont even know if they are defective sure since I don't have the actual instructions from the manufacturer. Unless I figure this out, I'm getting set to just return them.

Couldn't program this remote with my early 2000's Craftsman Garage Door Opener using any of the instructions provided. Did a lot of research and finally found something that worked for me. 1. Pop cover off remote 2. Hold down program button on the lower left until red light comes on 3. Press Learn button on the garage door opener 4. Press function button (left or right) until light flashes and opener clicks twice (for my Craftsman it was two button pushes until the opener reacted 5. Push program button on remote again to lock in code 6. Should now work by pushing the button (left or right) you chose in step 4 Really easy once you can figure out what to do. Instructions should be updated as this took me many tries until I stumbled on this method of pairing

I received the garage door remote and my first thought was the buttons felt a bit flimsy. I know it is not a OEM Chamberlain remote which has a more robust outer case and buttons - so I wasn't too surprised by the build quality. When I went to program the remote, it took three tries before it worked, but to be honest the OEM Chamberlain remotes I have used took more than once. As for the operation, it works very well. The range is about what I expected and close to the OEM Chamberlain's range. As long as the case and buttons hold up I think this is a pretty good option to the more expensive Chamberlain brand.
