Updated Review: I used a wall charger to charge both lights because the days are cloudy. I turned them on at 8pm Tuesday. The next morning (8am Wednesday) after 12 hours of use, they were both still on but had lost about half of their brightness. The light at 11am Thursday was still enough to give some light to the surrounding area, or if used at night after so many hours of being on, were good enough to produce enough light at night to mark an area. So it gave some light for over 36 hours. The first hours they produced a bright light. After that they were much dimmer but produced enough light to see your way around a totally dark room or select something out of a closet/wardrobe. After 36 hours I gave up waiting for them to go out so turned them off and recharged both. Original Review: Received two of them yesterday. Lacking sunlight this time of year, I charged both with a wall charger. I turned one on at 10:30 pm when I went to bed and it was still on when I got up at 7 am. I kept it in my bedroom and it kept the bedroom surprisingly bright. I think it is plenty bright. I was surprised at how bright it is. If they last and do not fail, I will probably purchase two more. ... show more

Nice bright light and easy to use. On/off switch is a nice feature as well as being able to charge from a USB port. Perfect portable lighting and definitely will provide room light when the next power outage happens. I haven't yet installed the solar panel charger to test that part out yet but a full USB charge gives us only about 5 hrs of continuous useful light. The 5 hour time is a bit disappointing but still a good value for the money and that is why I only gave it 4 stars. If I have any problem charging with the solar panel I'll do an update. With all this said I am thinking about buying another one. ... show more

Update nearly 3 years in: Great little light. Bright and no issues charging through a window. (Added the 5th star) Updated review: Keep in mind that this is a review from winter. The solar panel didn't seem to be able to charge the battery fully. I had to plug the light in to a charger to fill it completely. Now that it's full; the Solar panel seems to be enough to keep it filled. Prior to this; I'd left it plugged into the solar panel for days and it would last only 5 minutes or so at full blast. After charging fully in the wall, things seem good now. Original review: It's bright enough to read with for around 5 minutes. Then it drops a bit too low to read a book. I'm sure its fully charged when I start. I do like the solar option, and it will definitely provide enough light for moving around a campsite or dark room. ... show more

They light up at 130 lumen approximately. Not as bright as I would like them, the solar panel casing is cheap flimsy plastic. It works, get light all night, use them daily, great alternative from grid power, I would recommend 2 or 3 for a room as 1 is not bright enough to give great visibility but good enough for reading and writing. For the cost it's a great value. Perfect for WIC or food pantry, I'm happy with the product. It advertised 150 lumen and you may get that if you remove bulb cover, yet it tests at 130 lumen with cover on. ... show more

I originally purchased this light to use in my barn during the winter months. I have continued to use it in many area throughout the year. I love the light bulb size and thickness along with the solar pad. Charging is a breeze and I typically just use a power bank to charge during the cloudy days. The solar power pad sits on top of my goat barn roof for easy charging. The quality is awesome!! Bought one first in Jan 2019 for my desk, then my kitchen ceiling light went out in July 2019 and I bought another for my kitchen work area. Now I'm buying 2 more. They're so excellent - each bulb puts out VERY LITTLE HEAT and is nice and bright, I had to wrap a scarf around the one at my desk, it's so bright. And it's so much nicer in the kitchen than that yucky sterile ceiling light. I want another one for the kitchen now, and then who knows? I will shortly have 4 of these bulbs but I suspect I will be buying even more in future as I find more dark spots. My first two bulbs are still going strong after mostly all day, every day use until bedtime (I do shut them off when I go out, which isn't that much). Love the little bit of power they use, the hook, they're small and light, and everything about them. Big fan here. ... show more

I give this product a 5 ⭐️. It is bright, but not that bright. If you want something brighter, look for something in the 400 lumen and above. I left the solar panel directly in the sun while the bulb was charging inside the house. After 8hrs of charge, I turned on the light and it stayed on bright for 2:36, dimmed for another 1:27, and died. The best part of it, is that even fully dead, a 10 sec charge via a 5V USB output will give you 5 minutes of bright light. I plugged it using the micro USB in 5V 1A adapter, it stayed on bright for 6:03; that’s pretty impressive. I recommend that you first charge it using USB (faster), then you can subsequently use the miniature 6V supplied solar panel it came with. ... show more
