While the paddle has the drip deterrent piece, you still may want to add grips to the main part to avoid blisters. Overall, a good paddle. Has three slots to connect the two pieces to swap between paddling types. I always use straight. It works well. Matches my boat.

The price is Great, I Love the fact that I can Easily snap it together and take it apart and store it in my Kayak when not in use, Easy to use when out on the Water.
